WOW I waited anxiously for the release of this book for 8 months and I was not disappointed. I got right into this book from the first page, I imagine because the cliff hanger of the last book was so big! I love this series, I've read a lot of the supernatural and vampire books out there and this is definitely at the top of my list. I don't only love the romance in these books, but I love the friendships between the characters. This book was no exception they are there for each other, no matter what - they will risk everything just to help out and not even know why they are doing it... only that they were asked! The romance is more subtle in this book compared to the last one, but some how is just the perfect amount. Rose is confused, Lissa is jealous and the journey all the way through to the last page is fabulous. This book in true Vampire Academy fashion ends on a big cliff hanger as well.... I know the last book is going to be amazing and I can't believe I have to wait another 7 months for Sacrifice!!!! Oh the torture...

I find it very challenging to review this book because it was good in so many ways that can't be explained without spoilers. But worry not, this review is Spirit Bound Spoilers Free. I will do my best to express you the passion I felt reading this book, but I'm afraid it's beyond what words can explain.

Spirit Bound starts back at the Academy, it's finally graduation time and Rose has only one more challenge in front of her: The Trials. A final exam planned by guardians to test their ability to protect Moroi "in the real world". But what worries Rose the most is the after-graduation. She always thought it rimed with freedom but reality hit her in the face. She will spend her life protecting Moroi and her own desires won't matter anymore. There's not only the weight of responsibilities though, she knows Dimitri is out there, lurking in shadows, waiting for an opportunity to kill her.

In this installment, Rose is more determined than ever and will use extremely illegal ways to reach her objectives. Desperation to save Dimitri, while she still can, drives her actions and consequences won't be light. She is not risking only her future and her life but also the ones of people she loves.

When we love a book, we all say "I couldn't put it down", well in this case, I loved the book so much I HAD to put it down and take deep breaths because it was just too much. Love, Passion, Treason, Fear, Sadness, Grief, all these emotions laid on paper in a so intense way it almost became unbearable. At times I couldn't believe my own eyes, events happening in that book triggered reactions in me that are beyond words!

I'm really enjoying this series, and found Spirit Bound to be one of the best in the series yet.

Again, Rose has to make difficult choices, and puts herself in mortal danger to help those she loves. This time, Rose and Lissa have graduated from St. Valdimir's and are at the royal court. Adrian plays a pretty big role as he is now dating Rose.

I still love how strong and independent Rose is, how she is smart and tough and able to take care of herself, though sometimes she still needs help from her friends and has a certain amount of teenage moodiness. I also like how Lissa is becoming more independent too, and more considerate of how things are affecting Rose. Then there is Adrian. I like Adrian, how genuine and caring he really is, but how no one looks to him to save the day.

Like the other books in this series, it is full of action, suspense and twists. I absolutely loved the twist at the end and can hardly wait to read the next (and I believe) last in this series.

Cliff hanger?! WHA??? I can't believe she did that to us! Left us hanging like that! The only saving grace here is that I'm reading these books late. But if I had read this when it first came out - man, I'd be as pissed as that guy up there.

So basically - my advice to you is that you buy the last two books together. So that you don't feel the anger that I felt in having to wait for it from the library.

That being said! I obviously loved it. There's just something about these books. It was really good. I dig Rose and Lissa's friendship and how much they mean to each other. They would literally do anything for each other. Even be annoying and get in each other's business. As to the other matter - with Dimitri - don't want to spoiler it.... so I'll just say wow.

The story moved fast, as is the usual for these books. I couldn't put it down - until the cliff hanger and I wanted to chuck it across the room. Haha. Seriously though, I do adore these books and I can hardly wait until I'm off the wait list at the library.

Richelle Mead, despite my anger, you nailed another one.

Okay now that I have that off of my chest I think I'm good for now. I think. Boy did Richelle ever rip my heart out and stab it with a stake. I was soo angry at so many different characters for the choices that they made. Like seriously can't at one person at least be happy? I loved this book for the fact that it made me actually have feelings towards the characters.

Don't let me anger tell you I don't love it because I do and I can't wait for Last Sacrifice. I've preordered 2 copies - yep that's right 2 copies (one is signed and I won't get it for awhile seeing it will go to California first then to Canada and well I just can't wait that long). I know, I'm not the only one who can't wait.

I have so many questions that need answering - Who is going to end up with who? Is anyone going to die? Is there going to be a being battle between the Strigoi and Moroi? Who killed.....? Will Rose get to guard Lissa? I have so many questions! These 15 days are going to kill me.

I really like how Lissa has grown some balls over the past few novels she is finally learning to protect herself and not being the lame vampire - I know she can do better. I love Rose and Adrian's relationship it makes me laugh and I kind alike them together. I know, you Team Dimitri fans are going to send me hate mail BUT how can you justify what he did?!?!?
