Product Description

About the Author

Joseph Delaney is a retired English teacher. He has three children and nine grandchildren and is a wonderful public speaker available for conference, library and bookshop events. His home is in the middle of Boggart territory and his village has a boggart called the Hall Knocker, which was laid to rest under the step of a house near the church. Most of the places in the Spook's books are based on real places in Lancashire. And the inspiration behind the stories often comes from local ghost stories and legends.

HASH(0xa02164c8) out of 5 stars Another Amazing Installment! Oct. 6 2011

I was somewhat worried about the story following someone other than Tom, as past experiences with books of that sort turned out bad, but I've always liked Grimalkin, and loved learning more of her story. I recommend this book.

If like myself you have begun your journey following Tom Ward via "The Last Apprentice" series then you too will find that the author has published two identical books only changing the title and cover page. Sadly I had already purchased both this book and "Grimalkin the Witch Assassin" as they showed up on the books in a series list as if they were different stories in the same series. Just wanted others to know the tactic of this author. Be carefully when buying his ebooks. Make sure its not a duplicate by another name.

Honestly, who can get enough of Delaney's atmospheric, creepy and well developed stories with such likable characters as an assassin witch? Enjoyable reading for both middle-schoolers and adults who like good children's literature.

I've all ways loved how this series is clearly written I myself even promised myself I would not read another series until I complete this one. When Practicing in my Band I all ways has a volume of the last apprentice book.(spook's)nearby. Currently have the whole collection including the england editions and is currently awaiting the for Spook's Blood. I seriously recommend this book for anybody interested in Ghost hunting and the Occult. These books put harry potter to shame. I have a long wait until the series is over and for that I cannot wait :)

I have read all of the Last Apprentice book's and I was not disaponted with the Grimalkin side story. It was a book that I could not put down. I recomend all of the book series. Harry Potter has nothing on the Last Apprentice. I look forword to the next book.
