Great book and grants a hint at the power lines behind the Imperial Empire (from the sith perspective) also shows how the Sith can co-operate with the jedi and turn there back on them twice as fast. I suggest this for anyone who enjoys the tales from the Dark side ... but more so for anyone who has an interest in the SWTOR mmo (due out DEC 20th 2011) as the ending gives a very strong hint at who MAY be the emperor in the game. Or at very least an end game boss.

It's very short, wasn't too impressed, but if you played The old republic you would find it interesting which I did. Quick 30 minute read.

The quality of the drawing is good and the story is not bad, even interesting, but it lacks in depth.

I found the artwork not as great as I had expected and the storyline to be a bit weak compared to the old republic novels. It was nice to get a different story than those already portrayed in the novels however. Also, it took me about 30 minutes to read through the entire graphic novel so for your money, its not a great investment.

The art? Blah. The story? Double Blah.

This series of Star Wars comic books is pretty boring. Never did I feel like I cared about the characters, or the story. I've always considered a comic book to be primarily plot and character driven, with the art being a great way to bring it all to life for the reader, but unfortunately this series lacks all of that. The writers and artists have left me feeling completely unengaged.

It's only saving grace is that it takes place in The Old Republic, which is a potentially action/adventure rich setting in the Star Wars universe. Why? The galaxy is more or less crawling with Sith and Jedi. Instead of taking advantage of this potential, the artists and writers have pooped out this turd, amazing only in how boring and mundane the characters and story are.

Unless you have a deep interest in The Old Republic or Star Wars in general, this entire series is best left on the shelf. In my case, it will be on a rack next to the toilet.. Just in case I run out of paper.
