What Critics Are Saying About the SteelSeries Siberia v2 Headset
"... Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer provided my main test bed for audio accuracy, and I was surprised at how efficiently stereo sound works in the game. I was able to determine the direction of enemy fire and distant explosions as well as I can wile using my 5.1 headphones. The new piano black earcups are awesome ... and like the last model in the Siberia line, they're as comfy as a Snuggie." Score: 93%
"They look awesome enough to be teamed with an iPod, and the tiny, responsive geektastic mic tucks away nicely."
"All-in-all the Siberia V2 is a brilliant all-round headset and should be considered when looking for a decent pair of headphones for any purpose, not just gaming. Its sleek design and high quality finish combined with its superb sound quality mean I would personally recommend it to anyone."

Sound quality is very good, but I am no audiophile to give an interesting critic about the frequency range and all that.
The retractable mike design is nice. At least, when you're using the headset as headphones, it looks like headphones. Also, the sound quality of the mike is very good. It is quite directional.
Finally, the USB sound card. Frankly, the software that comes with it is quite average, and I am not convinced at all by the simulated surround sound (but I didn't believe it from the start, so no big deal for me). However, I still bought the USB card just so that I can have two sound outputs and switch between the two without having to plug-unplug anything, which I find very nice.
All-in-all, my best headset to date.
I fully recommend this headset because it has very good sound quality, it is very comfortable around the head and includes an innovative 7.1 Surround Sound USB sound card that works flawlessly.

Just careful with the mic, long use of putting it back in and pulling it out can damage it in the long run.

Very disappointed overall with the quality of this headset. It felt cheap and was always too tight on my head. The sound quality is okay at best without the Virtual Surround Sound. Read morePublished 23 months ago by err0r1212
