The the original picture did not represent the product received.
It was ordered specifically because the red and white plugs showed the
the outer part of the plug a split. consequently the unit did not work.
I contacted the supplier and had no response.
The seller gave me a refund, but I don't receive it because I change the Credit card in Amazon.ca, anyway it is not your fault.
So it works well for me. I'm sure there are more expensive ways of making this connection e.g. ipod docks, etc. but this suits me OK.
