About the Author

As an author Penny Sidoli does her best to make her writing reflect the magical art of storytelling, honor the importance of literature in our lives, and celebrate the splendor of words ---- what we speak everyday and the words we choose for formal occasions. Also she is interested in how we interact with the natural environment. She holds a degree in Humanities from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington where she studied language as it is spoken, written and sung. She has taught English as a Foreign Language; translated the poetry of Concha Lagos; and written a considerable assortment of nonfiction. Born in New York, Penny Sidoli has lived most of her life in the American West. She was awarded a residency at the Ragdale Artist Community in Lake Forest, Illinois. She is a member of Women Writing the West. Penny Sidoli has a collection of short stories, The Intersection of Daydream and Writing Slow, and a book of California pioneer history for children, The Last Bear in Santa Barbara.
