Product Description

A #1 best seller with more than 5 months on a best seller list! The Storms That Fated Us is a new adult romance novel recommended for mature audiences. Contains sexual content.

As Tia Deltoro's twenty-third birthday approaches, she looks forward to meeting up with her old high school friends and hitting the ski slopes. But what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend getaway in a cottage overlooking the mountains turns into a hellish nightmare when Tia unmistakably recognizes the person delivering their firewood. It has been five years since Tia graduated from New Holston High, yet she remains emotionally shackled to her past, or more specifically, to her one and only ex-best friend Carson Rodriguez, the man holding the bundle of firewood. When he accuses Tia of setting up their chance meeting she fires back, running him off.

Unfortunately for these two former friends, Mother Nature decides to show them an intervention they'll never forget! The drastic shift in weather conditions causes Carson to return and wait out the storm with Tia.

As the temperature drops and the strong winds level their only means of shelter one window and roof tile at a time, one question remains... Will Tia and Carson be able to put aside their anger towards each other long enough to survive another storm?

About the Author

JP Summers is a Native Texan who resides on a 140 acre farm in northern Wisconsin with her husband and their children. She is a self-published author that loves chocolate and crushing over fictional men that are so unbelievably smoldering, you swear the pages could actually go up in flames while reading the book. This past year she became an advocate for migraines and headache disorders after being diagnosed with chronic migraines and cluster headaches. Despite how disabling her condition can be at times, she has several books lined up to be published in 2015. She also has plans to speak at several medical conferences and advocate on Capitol Hill with others who are just as passionate about raising migraine/headache awareness.

As the author of “Defending A King ~ His Life & Legacy” about the incomparable Michael Jackson, I have read almost exclusively non-fiction during the past few years. When I began “The Storms That Fated Us,” I was casual and curious. It didn't take long, however, for me to get pulled into the story line, the suspense, and the intriguing relationship between Tia and Carson, old “friends” from high school five years before.
The book seemed both very timely and realistic to me, partially because of the exceptionally stormy winter of 2014. A frightening blizzard, a secluded cabin in the mountains, a man and woman reunited by Mother Nature at her fiercest, and a story of interesting flashbacks interwoven with the compelling events in the cabin all contribute to making this a real “page-turner.” It was unpredictable – a quality that I really like – and believable … and an emotional ride for the reader.
The title of the book is especially appropriate. There are storms on several levels in this novel – the storms of nature, storms of the human heart, and storms of a renewed relationship with an intense past. The main characters struggle with their dangerous physical challenges from the storm while they also struggle with their feelings, memories, and tumultuous relationship.
I definitely recommend this book and the author JP Summers, who delivers a suspenseful and unforgettable reading experience.

I made it through 26 pages of this tripe before the terrible writing style did me in. I had settled in for a nice romantic read but got this childish silliness. glad the book was free.

This book was o.k. I thing she was being a little overboard with her feelings. She should have told him to f off when he was being selfish. A girl good only take so much and she kept going back for more.

Everyone has "the one who got away" and for Tia that's Carson, except that in her case she never wants to see him again. Too bad. Her friends arrange a birthday surprise for Tia that turns into a nightmare. Talk about good intentions paving the road to hell.

I will start off by saying that I enjoyed the story and connection between Carson and Tia who doesn't love a friend's turns to lovers story. I just felt some things were rushed while some things took to long to get to. There was to much stuff happening around them that at times I wanted to roll my eyes and say really what's next. All that being said if you can look past the extra stuff it really is a good second chance love story.
