"I may have had more lovers than you, and I may take my clothes off for countless women, but you are the only one who can strip me bare.”

Do you ever stop loving someone just because they’re gone?
Five years ago Ryan Pierce disappeared from Alana Remington’s life without leaving so much as a post-it note behind. He was the one she gave her heart to, her soul to and her virginity to. So imagine her surprise when she finds him dancing at one of NYC’s hottest male reviews as Jack the Stripper.
Ryan never stopped loving Alana, and now that she serendipitously dropped back into his life, he’s vowed never to lose her again. But being together has its costs, and challenges Alana isn’t sure she can handle. She finally has Ryan back; but how in the world is she supposed to share the love of her life with half of the women in New York City?

I read this a few months ago but wanted to post my review as I couldn't believe more people haven't rated it here. Yes, it's a sizzling hot book, but there's also a very strong storyline that I wouldn't have predicted given the subject matter. Good characters, great writing and lots of steam make this a must read, IMO. The first book for me by this author, but definitely won't be my last. I'm definitely buying the next book she releases. I definitely recommend this one!

Ryan Pierce disappeared from Alana Remmington's life five years ago, Alana had been in love with Ryan and has never quite got over it. Then when her cousin and BF Emily has her Batchelorette party at an all female night club featuring male strippers, Alana is shocked to see that her long lost love Ryan is the star of the show.

This is a well written story that I enjoyed reading, I thought the author managed to balance a lot of it just right, she resisted the temptation to overdo the fawning women falling at Ryan's feet. Or as he's known "Jack The Stripper". I can't say I cared too much for that name. I liked Ryan and Alana they were good together, there was certainly plenty of chemistry and sexual tension going on. I did feel that Ryan enjoyed being a stripper rather too much, he certainly didn't seem to want to give it up.

I thought their reunion after five long years was too quick though, and the author did rather fall into the whole he's always loved her, he's been a manwhore, but they all meant nothing. While Alana had been a good girl never having got over Ryan. That was a bit too cliched for me. But overall this is a good read. Three and a half stars for me.

HASH(0x9f997a74) out of 5 stars Really kinda hated Ryan... Oct. 20 2014
By Erica C. - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition

I read Stripped from You before I read this one. In the first one, we get to know how Ryan and Alana met and fell in love. Then we see how he goes to jail for Sean but doesn't tell Alana what happened. He disappears after she loses her virginity to him and she doesn't see him again for 5 yrs. I was super pis*** off at Ryan for just ditching Alana like that without a word. So I was really hoping that he would redeem himself in this book.

Nope, not to me! This book starts with Alana seeing Ryan for the first time since she lost her virginity to him, at a male strip club grinding on her cousin. So after Ryan gets out of prison, he soon becomes a male stripper. Does he try to find Alana and ask for forgiveness? No. He becomes a stripper and complete manwhore. After he sees her, he immediately proclaims his undying love and says he's never letting her go again. Sweet, right? Yea, I thought so until she asks about his profession and he tells her he got into it for money, women and sex. That's just what a girl wants to hear. I was thoroughly disgusted with Ryan's nonchalant attitude when it came to his stripping. He tells her that he's had a few dozen sexual partners and admits that he had a threesome with a girl he lives with but acts like it's no big deal. And Alana kept saying if I wanna be with him then I have to accept that he takes his clothes off and grinds on all these women. NO THE CRAP YOU DON'T! I was waiting for the author to have Ryan redeem himself by saying, I know I left you broken hearted so to prove how much I love you I'm gonna quit stripping because I know how much you hate it and I'll find something else to do. Never happens! He friggin' strips until she six months pregnant with twins in the epilogue. I mean, really? Throughout the entire book, Ryan tells Alana that he's only stripping until he can have enough money saved up but he drives a Mercedes and buys designer suits. WTH? How much money do you flipping need?!?

You see Ryan a few times in compromising positions with women in the club but he says it's just a job and so she just has to deal. Why couldn't he do something for her? Like quit! She hates his job and all the women but he never gives it up for her. So disappointing to read a romance novel where the heroine gives, gives, gives and the hero does nothing. Not to mention, why do these authors make the hero a disgusting manwhore but the heroine only has him as a sexual partner? What a double standard! And I read them all the time.

Ryan never redeemed himself because he never sacrificed anything for Alana. He had his cake and ate it too. I wish I had known how this book would play out, then I could've saved my money. Refund, anyone?!?

HASH(0x9f997abc) out of 5 stars Strip Me Bare Oct. 11 2013

I won an ARC for Stripped Me Bare for a review and I'm so excited that I did!
This was an amazingly, and creative written story about a couple from different worlds known as the princess and the pauper!
Alana and Ryan have a past, reuniting five years at the least place expected. It's heartbreaking not knowing what caused Ryan to fled. Ryan convinces Alana why he didn't have a choice but had to stay away. They start their relationship back up and all is merrily happy:)
Alana is from a very well known family, she's following her career dream but with Ryan back in the picture will they last this time, especially cause he's very known as Jack the stripper?? She tries to keep Ryan a secret from her father but the rest of her family has met him, knows what he does and is okay with this.
Something happens and Ryan takes the fall, which will cause him to be taken away from Alana for a second time.
The only person she can turn to is her father for help at this point. Will Alana give up her financial security, and hopes and dreams in exchange to confront her father about Ryan? She very well might lose everything she's loved and dreamt of. Alana and Ryan's story had me hooked, lined and sinked from page one.
You will not be disappointed!!!

HASH(0x9fa07a80) out of 5 stars Amazing book and a must read Oct. 10 2013

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book is in the top favorites for 2013. I absolutely loved this book. I never wanted it to end and couldn't put it down. To see what Alana went through and what she had to deal with from her father was heart breaking. But to see her grow as a character and realize certain things was amazing. She was a great character and I loved reading about her.

Now on to the really good stuff. Ryan also known as Jack the Stripper. Ohh how I loved him. The way that Alana finally saw him at the beginning of the book after not seeing him for years was hilarious. I wouldn't know what I would of done if I was in her place. Ryan is of course hot as sin (duh he's a stripper) but also sweet. He has a twin brother that I wanted to punch the crap out of and a mother that should be ashamed of herself but that is life. Ryan makes himself better. He makes his life better. Even if doing it a little strangely with stripping.

This book was abo-freaking-lutely amazing. This book had me giggling, falling in love, and swooning like crazy. I will be telling everyone about this book. This is a must read in my eyes. I can't wait till it is out and I can read it over again because I will definitely be re-reading this one.
