5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirational and Honest Feb. 14 2012

I know the authors. I was their neighbor when Don had his stroke. This story is an honest account of what has happened with Don. I recommend it highly for reading by folks who have a friend or relative with brain injury. The path to independence is a life-long struggle that Don and Rosella have detailed openly. I think it is well written, clear, and in simple terms helps us all understand the problems that must be dealt with.
5.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't put this book down. Good info. Nov. 28 2013

I learned lots from this book about strokes and the information that families need to know at the time they are facing difficult and hard decisions. It's a book that will explain the process that Don Kvernen went through during his stroke, it actually gives the hope that is promised. This is a must read for brain injury families also. Kudos to Rosella & Don for putting into words what has been needed to have been said for a long time.
