Product Description

Sky changed her life for a man once, and she has no intention of doing it again - even if he is a six-foot, tattooed rock god who makes a mean bacon sandwich.

***This full length book is not a standalone and has a cliffhanger. Falling Sky (Book 2) is available now. The other books in the series are standalones***

Sky Davis
is fed up with boyfriend Grant taking her for granted, and when she comes home to find him wearing a girl, Sky suspects the relationship is over. She takes an unscheduled vacation and leaves the life (and guy) she hates behind.

Rock star Dylan Morgan is struggling with fame and infamy, sick of his life being controlled by other people. Dylan cuts his hair and walks away from his role as lead singer of Blue Phoenix, leaving behind chaos and speculation.

Outside the English seaside town of Broadbeach, their cars and worlds collide.

Sky decides Dylan is an arrogant guy with too many tattoos, and Dylan is amused by the smart-mouthed girl with no idea who he is. Dylan and Sky soon discover they've travelled to Broadbeach for the same reason - to escape from reality and head back to a place with happy childhood memories. Losing themselves in a world where they know nothing about each other, Sky and Dylan begin a holiday romance that soon heats up their rainy English summer.

Fantasies can't last forever, and when reality crashes the party, Sky isn't sure she wants to be more than his 'summer Sky' but Dylan doesn't want to let her go.

Returning to the real world, public scrutiny isn't their only problem. Blue Phoenix lead guitarist, Jem Jones, has a reason for wanting Sky out of Dylan's life, and is determined to come between them. Some things won't stay hidden, even when they're paid to 'go away'.

Summer Sky is a contemporary romance with a rock star flavour where occasionally more than the bacon sizzles, and is the first in the Amazon best-selling Blue Phoenix rock romance series about a British band.

***This book is not a standalone and has a cliffhanger. Falling Sky (Book 2) is available now and completes the story.***

This from the few I read over the month of march was my absolute favorite. It was cute and different and at the end very sad. I was sad to see the story drop and end where it did but I am happy to have found a second book. This novel was about two very different people from opposite ends of life's spectrum meeting by chance. They got to know each other in a world separate from their own. They had a brief whirlwind of a romance before their worlds came crashing down on them. Their worlds tore them apart when the truth of who the guy really was tore them apart.

I was kind of sad that Sky let what she learned and what other people were telling her influence her relationship with Dylan, when she herself got to know him and understand him, I understand it was probably overwhelming but after all they went through I believe she was a little naive in the end. I also think Dylan should have fought harder in the end. He fought like hell in the beginning but he kind of just gave up in the end.

I was looking for an entertaining, romantic read and I found it in Summer Sky. It's not as light as it seems - both Dylan and Sky are coming to terms with adult lives that aren't what they expected, trying to make changes and unsure exactly what they want to do. Neither is naïve - Dylan's rock star history means he's familiar with drugs, alcoholism, mindless sex and all that goes along with life on tour; while Sky's been in a serious (well, from her side, at least) relationship for five years and she's determined to make sure she doesn't get taken advantage of again.

There's nothing like a car crash to turn a lazy holiday into something entirely different, though...

I like that Sky has guts and isn't a complete doormat - she's been there, done that and it's not who she is. She's not looking for a man to define her, but she doesn't hate men, either. Ooh, no. And the atmosphere does turn electric...

Dylan's got the heart of a good man...but he has about as much idea about how to properly romance a woman as...well, a bloke who's been living on a desert island all his life. One without women. He's his own worst enemy - except in the bedroom.

Yes, there's rock star sex. This is not a sweet romance - it's definitely a steamy one, without being overly graphic.

A highly recommended five-star read - but make sure you buy the second one, too, because you'll want to read it straight after finishing this one. Just like I'm about to do.

*****5- amazingly amazing with amazing sprinkles on top -Stars*****
~this review may contain minor spoilers~

I'm a confused, hurt girl escaping a broken relationship. I'm not the heroine of some book where a sexy rock star falls for the confused, hurt girl and makes everything better with amazing sex and sweet words of undying love.

Apparently I've been going on all my summer vacations to the wrong places because that has never happened to me. I was first introduced to Lisa Swallow through her Butterfly Days series and this book reminded me why I love this woman so much. She has the ability to send me from a lust induced haze, to hair pulling frustration, to fire breathing anger, to ugly cry heartbreak, all in a matter of seconds. So many emotions she forces on you in the span of her books-it just knocks you on your a** and I love every second of it. This book was no different. I loved it even while it had me screaming bloody murder.

“We're living in an illusion. Where you're Dylan, I'm Sky and the rest of the world doesn't exist. As soon as we step outside of the fantasy, we won't exist anymore.”

Sky Davis changed her entire life around for her boyfriend of five years, only to come home to him screwing someone else. With her relationship in shambles, she decides to skip town and take some time away to collect herself. She heads off to BroadBeach where she vacationed with her family growing up.

I rub my eyes, fighting thoughts of Bristol and d***head, cheating boyfriends. And wondering if I'll have sex with Dylan before I go home.
Oh, wow.
Does he have this effect on every woman? I suspect so.

Dylan Morgan, lead singer of the famous rock band 'Blue Phoenix', needs to get away.

I downloaded this book for 2 reasons.

1. I wanted an easy read
2. It was free.

The result? I am all kinds of emotional and delirious. What seemed to be a simple fanfiction-Esau plot turned out to be one of the best books I've read in a long time. Sky is such a witty, strong, REAL and PRACTICAL character. Dylan represents any person in the limelight and reminds you that they too have struggles they have to deal with. It was SO real. The situations, thought process and the rationalization of each character. It just brought to life the truth and reality of glitz and glamour. The ending was so brutal ... it got me hooked, but just plain mean. I've purchased book two and I'm diving right in!
