The TEKTON 9-pc. Combination Wrench Set is a condensed series of every common size from 1/4 to 3/4 inch. Classically lean and quietly refined, TEKTON Combination Wrenches provide a sure fit on fasteners and multiple options for working around obstructions or in tight spaces. To reduce the working swing arc, the open end is angled 15 degrees so the wrench can be flipped over with each rotation to engage the fastener twice as often. The 12-point box end doubles the access angles of a 6-point. It's offset 15 degrees, creating clearance for your fingers and extra space to slide past whatever might be in the way. To prevent round-off, it contacts and applies force to the flat sides of fastener heads rather than the corners. The wrenches are compactly organized in the Store-and-Go Wrench Keeper. This versatile storage solution has a folding handle that saves drawer space and nonslip grippers that lock wrenches securely in place when you're on the move.

The way these wrenches fit on fasteners is fairly typical of budget wrenches - they have a bit more wiggle room on a fastener than you would expect from a high end professional tool. This may cause them to round fasteners a little easier than a Snap on or Mac wrench would, but when you consider that they're about a tenth of the price, I think it's a fair compromise. I haven't personally had any problems with them rounding fasteners yet.
The beams of these wrenches are a bit thicker than professional wrenches as well, which suggests to me that Tekton is compensating for the cheaper steel they use in order to ensure that the wrenches are sturdy, and to me that indicates smart design. I've tried bending these wrenches and while I'm not a powerlifter, I'm not a tiny guy either. I haven't been able to get any worrying flex from reefing on them, so in my opinion they're pretty solid. Also, I find a slightly thicker beam is more comfortable to use, and the difference from a pro brand is so small that I doubt you'll ever find yourself working in a place too tight for a Tekton beam compared to any other brand of wrench.
The open and box ends are both nicely executed, and while the beam of the Tekton wrench is noticeably thicker than that of a professional wrench, the box ends are quite comparable in size. The Tekton is still a bit bigger, but not much. Again, these wrenches will likely fit in just about any place a professional wrench does.
The chrome finish on these wrenches is very nice, consistently smooth even inside the open ends, a place where cheaper wrenches will typically have some wrinkling or flaking. Very impressive!
These wrenches also come in a handy plastic holder that is relatively sturdy and can be used to tote the wrenches. The plastic they chose is a bit softer, almost rubbery, and I think that means it will resist cracking a bit better than something harder.
A nice thing about Tekton's wrenches is they're generally slightly longer than, say, a comparable Craftsman wrench, and while the difference isn't much, any extra length will allow you to put more torque on a fastener and also break nuts free easier.
Another nice thing about Tekton is their exceptional warranty, so if you break a tool, just send them a photo and they'll take care of you. Considering the price of these wrenches that's pretty great.
Overall, this set is very very nice for the price, and I'd recommend it to any DIYer, apprentice, or professional looking for a back up for their expensive high end wrenches.
Good value for the money.
Love the fit and finish of them, I'll be using them for general maintenance on motorcycles and cars.
I had a Mastercraft Maximum set from Canadian Tire that I returned as it was the Universal type of wrench and was missing the 21mm size which I needed for suspension work on one of our cars. These wrenches are better finished than the MC brand and about the same money which is nice.
I love tools and own a lot of tools and would rank these up there as some of the nicest tools I own, I will be getting more from this supplier for sure.
They're well treated, have a nice finish. And they seem strong.
