Product Description

From Nick Reynolds

When Dr. Simon Taylor claims to know the secret to time travel, is his claim valid, or only theoretical?
The truth will shock you.

An attempt is made to duplicate Simon Taylor’s trek into the past, in the hope of preventing a tragedy. However, the past is the past, and sometimes even the best of intentions can cause harm.

A time traveler longs to return to his own time, but lacks the ability to make it happen. However, when an unlikely ally makes a breakthrough, our time traveler discovers that the most dangerous travel lies along the pathways of the heart.

Contains all three short tales plus, exclusively, THEORETICAL Timeline

A man is sent back in time with orders to kill his own grandfather before he can sire children.
If successful, will he then cease to exist, or is the past far stranger and durable than imagined?

HASH(0xa6aea048) out of 5 stars I read this in the complete trilogy. Aug. 24 2014
By Gail Christian - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I read this when I got the trilogy; and because it is such an amazing collection, I thought I would share my review with you:

First of all I have to tell you that I don't read stories about time travel. I just don't. Ever. Not that I look down on them or anything like that, but the ones I have read in the past convinced me the subject had pretty much been done to death. And even if you could conquer the obvious challenges of time travel, you still face the same problems if you alter history. So having been there, done that I just don't read this genre.

HOWEVER, if you are of the same mindset, you will miss an absolute treasure if you let this trilogy slip through your fingers without snatching it up!

So how do I know that if I don't read this genre? I was shopping for short stories and went strictly by page length. SO glad I did!

Since the description gives the obvious story line (someone wants to travel back in time and then back to the present), I will leave it to you to discover what transforms this trilogy from the ordinary to the superb.

Keep up with the characters from one part of the trilogy into the next: this will be key to followinging the story. Watching the characters' lives intertwine was an absolute delight! So much so that I even added other time travel stories to my wish list. That's a big deal for someone who would not have even thought about reading such a book before happening upon this amazing trilogy of short stories. Has made me rethink a decision I made years ago and has opened up the possibility of finding other jewels I would otherwise never have discovered.

I enjoyed this heart filled and an enjoyable story that opens up being an interesting tale from the get go. The first part opens up the plot, and the beginning of a fine story. I also decided not to reveal too much of the plot to keep the next reader the enjoyment in learning the story without spoilers. I found myself engrossed with this time travel story, and I didn't know it was only going to get better. Theoretical is a fun read and offers nice surprises along with an engaging plot. I look forward to more by this author who also wrote the Grandfather's Paradox. I recommend picking up the trilogy.
HASH(0xa6c323a8) out of 5 stars Great time travel short story, can't wait to read the second one! Nov. 15 2013

Who doesn't love a good time travel story, especially one written as well as this. What I find difficult about some time travel stories is that there is so much theory involved that we, the readers, are often confused and wondering just what the heck is going on. From the first mention of time travel in this story everything just seems to make sense and comes together quite nicely by the end of the story. This is only part one of a trilogy of short stories and you can bet I will be reading more of these. Plus this story is free to borrow on Amazon, what more could you ask for??

An enjoyable and engaging read, which gets more enjoyable and more engaging as the story progresses. By the latter third of it I was chomping at the bit to get to the end. How would you prove to someone sitting just across from you that time travel is possible? This is precisely the task that Dr. Simon Taylor faces. What is it exactly that constitutes a proof of time travel? Read the story to find out.
