Quiet enough for a noise sensitive cat.

I have a long-haired cat that is prone to tangles, knots and matting. We brush him regularly but we seem to be fighting a losing battle and occasionally need to cut stuff out before it gets too bad and painful for him. I've used scissors many times and although he'll mostly sit fine once distracted, I'm very aware that there was a nasty accident waiting to happen.

I got these clippers to make it safer and hopefully quicker than what we were currently doing, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet they are and Aries (the cat in question) didn't react at all - not even the slightest interest in what was going on. We now plan on giving him a good all over 'Lion cut' to remove any matting and to even out his coat as he's looking fairly patchy now (nothing to do with the clippers, simply the removal of the matted hair) .

I'm really pleased with the clippers, and would highly recommend to anyone in the same situation. The selection of attachments and the incredibly handy cordless clipper means that we can properly look after our fluffy ginger giant better than before.

Maybe i'm just unlucky, but this thing is garbage on fur. When you get the box it says hair clipper on it with a sticker that says 'pet' on top but everything about it implies a human hair clipper, not in any way adjusted for fur.

I tried to use it on my cat with one of the attachments and it would just get stuck and not cut. He has a thick coat of fur hence why i figured a trimmer meant for fur might work vs a regular hair clipper. I feel it's a complete scam, u can buy a 15$ hair trimmer which will do the exact same thing as this, they just added a pet sticker to it and charged an extra 15$...

I would definitely recommend the Topelek cordless rechargeable Pet Clipper. We have 2 dogs - a Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix) and a Chorkie (Chihuahua/Yorkie mix) as well as 2 medium hair length cats. The clipper works great. It's exactly what we were looking for. The guards seem to get caught in our Cockapoo's curly hair (even though we had brushed him out first) and that caused him to yipe - so it worked for us better to just use the clipper alone. You develop a steadier hand after doing it for awhile and know how far to keep the clipper from your pet's body. The clipper worked well using the guard with our Chorkie as her hair was not curly, but also we developed a sense of how far to keep the clipper away from her body as well with the clipper alone. Both dogs turned out looking pretty good after we had our grooming party - it was easier with both my wife and me (1 person to steady the dog and 1 person to use the clipper). We haven't tried it on our cats just yet, but we suspect it will work fine after the success we had with our dogs. We are very pleased with this product and are excited that we will now be able to save some money and do our grooming ourselves!

Our Clippers arrived sooner than predicted which is always a good thing. After reading our manual we began trimming our two Shih Tzu's and although we were being very careful and a little slow from lack of experience {first time ever} our dogs looked as good as if professional trimmed.The Patec clippers cut easily, very sharp. and they are really quiet, the doge were not frightened at all I think because the clippers are so quiet.
Overall after only one use on 2 dogs we are happy with this product.
Since 5 stars is the highest rating allowed that's what we give our Patec clippers.

Excellent pet shaver I shaved one of my dogs have yet to shave one of my cats that has long greasy hair. I love how it's light and I can charge it it's very quite and i can open it up to clean the blade that's amazing I had the whale brand one and it worked till hair got stuck under blade I clhated that I couldn't clean it. This one is excellent I hope it never stops working.

When I first opened the package, I was amazed at how many pieces there was. I also noticed that there was no oil with the set,as in other dog grooming kits, they send you the oil.
Here you have to purchase the oil seperately.
I was disappointed that the trim comb would not work on my dog, but yet the 3mm works just great.
I find that when you take the blade off for cleaning, it is hard to put back on,especially if you have arthritis or any other hand problems.
Some of the combs are hard to get off, but work at it for a bit and they come off easy.
The best thing that I like about this shaver, is that you don't need the cord plugged into it all the time. You can use it with or without the cord, and I think the dogs like that better also, cause they don't get tangled up in the cord.

My cat is fat and sleeps on his back. He started getting big clumpy knots on his hips/back etc which were clearly painful and made him not like being picked up etc. So last ditch effort after trying everything else and before a 400$ vet bill was these clippers. I have to illustrate that these werent little clumps of hair, I'm talking like 4-5 inches long and right to his skin.
These clippers gave him a great buzz cut, powered thru those knots and didn't hurt him one bit. Amazing clippers, great price and no doubt id recco to anyone in need of some good clippers. Would def work on long hair cat/dogs and if you have sheep, you could probably use these to sheer wool.
