HASH(0x9bfd00f0) out of 5 stars A thorough handbook on Taekwondo and then some May 10 2013
By Ran Zohar - Published on Amazon.com

Taekwondo books are rarely more than just picture-books with the same kicks and forms, where if you've seen one you've seen them all. This book is different. The authors go much deeper into all aspects of Taekwondo, and even some non-Taekwondo topics, to give a very complete, in depth appreciation rarely seen in other books. A worthy addition to any serious Taekwondoin's library.

HASH(0x9bfd0324) out of 5 stars The Best TKD Martial Art Kindle Book Ever!! April 24 2013
By Antoine Martin - Published on Amazon.com

This is the best Tae Kwon Do Kindle books ever I've ever read! It basically talks about the history of the martial art, and the philosophy. This book is great for beginners who interested in learning a new martial. The book teaches you to learn all Tae Kwon Do forms, Demonstration forms (demos), kicks, belt system rankings, Sparring, traditional hand techniques, Poomsae, weapon defense and etc. One thing Bill Pottle included my favorites is Grappling/MMA training which is a major plus because I'm a huge fan of Grappling/MMA fan!! I highly recommend anyone getting this book. It's really helpful when it comes to learning tae kwon do. GET IT ASAP!!!

HASH(0x9bfd0618) out of 5 stars Great intro to Taekwondo! March 26 2015
By Warrior Princess - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
A few months ago, my son started taking Taekwondo, and he's getting really interested in it. While his instructor tells them a little bit about history and philosophy during classes, my son felt that he wasn't getting enough information about its history, philosophy, etiquette, and other details.

He wanted more information about Taekwondo and he wanted it quickly, but he's a busy kid, with all his homework and other activities. Taekwondo: A Practical Guide to the World's Most Popular Martial Art by Bill and Katie Pottle is perfect, as he can listen to it while exercising or doing chores.

The book is easy enough to follow in the audio format, and Adam Crafter does a wonderful job narrating it, with all the rights pauses and emphasis. A great resource for anyone interested in Taekwondo.

HASH(0x9bfd0aec) out of 5 stars Very good textbook for anyone from the whitebelt through blackbelt. July 27 2013

The hyperlinks to on-line videos are by far the best feature of this book. The Kindle version makes that feature practical. The diagrams, explanations, and views of the poomse with detailed explanations and diagrams will help to train any practitioner as he or she prepares for their next achievement test of for competition. Having just reached my First Dan level I will refer to this book to refresh my training and help me to train others. Highly recommended for all levels of practitioners.
