Product Description

The meter is running...
One night as Rose Crawford steps out of a bar, she gives no second thought to lifting her hand to signal for a cab. After all, it's the responsible thing to do.
A common occurrence.
Far safer than walking several blocks, alone, in the dark.
A familiar-looking yellow taxi with black, faux-leather seats, running meter on the dash, and a smiling driver pulls up to the curb.
Rose slides in. Gives the driver her address...
But she never reaches her destination.
Instead, she finds herself captive, at the will of a man who isn't a driver, but a bona fide psychopath.
Trapped in a taxi she can't escape, Rose begins to panic. As the miles between her and safety grow, hope dwindles. It isn't until someone else joins her in captivity that her spark of hope is rekindled.
Derek is strong, capable, and surely together they can fight their way to freedom.
Then Rose finds out exactly why she's been driven into hell. Derek may be an unwilling captive, but he isn't going to help her.
In fact, he's there to do the exact opposite.
TAXI is a standalone novel, with a HEA. All the books in the Take It Off series are standalones and can be read in any order.

This one is a bit different than the rest of the series, but still enjoyed it.

Love it! Like every Cambria book I've read so far, this one grabs you from the start and holds on long passed the finish line.
Derek and Rose have some tough times, but also the absolute adorableness of 2 people coming together with love and sexy times in the future!

5.0 out of 5 stars Creepy! Great story and a new awesome alpha male in Derek. May 7 2016

>Book Review - Taxi -

> I am an independent reviewer. This is the 11th book in the Take it Off series and ends in an HEA. no matter the circumstances, this author really knows how to write romance. This book was really less explicit than any of her other books, but I felt it was one of the most romantic. Rose and Derek are both kidnapped. I've never thought about being kidnapped by a cabbie, but I know I will never use a cab alone again. Rose's time in captivity was interestingly portrayed. I could connect with her trying to find a weapon, no matter how lame. I could understand her urge to fight and never submit. She even did everything I would have done while still in the cab. The story actually seemed a lot scarier as I realized how realistic her actions were.

>Derek is a transplant doctor, kidnapped right after Rose. He has a secret crush on Rose and is the sexiest alpha male when it comes to protecting her. He has a huge decision to make concerning his family that makes one wonder what a man with lesser morals would do. I am incredulous to think black market organ harvesting is a huge issue. Just because I never heard about it, doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

>This book raises some interesting questions regarding how far one would go for someone they love. The romance between Derek and Rose is also beautiful. Once again Cambria Hebert has written something really worth reading. This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving the book 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Taxi Man meet Doctor Derek and Coffee Fairy Rose May 9 2016

Before I begin my review, I just want to say, I AM NEVER RIDING A TAXI AGAIN!
Now that I got that out of the way, lets get into the review....
Cambria has delivered another spectacular book that had me frantically turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. This is my first Take It Off series that I have read, and I am already sure that I am going to be binge reading the rest of the series soon.
One of the things that I loved most about TAXI, was seeing some of Cambria's personality shine through the pages. We all know she loves her coffee, so having a character have her own coffee truck outside of the hospital is pure genius. Rose was an incredible character who I could easily relate to. She had spunk and determination, and when the Taxi Man kidnapped her, she wasn't a damsel in distress, but someone who wasn't going down without a fight.
Derek the swoony hero, aka liver transplant doctor was very charming, flirty, sweet and protector was someone I would definitely not mind being captive with. If anything, I would hope I had someone like him- not that I ever plan on getting kidnapped, especially from a taxi driver because like I mentioned earlier, I AM NEVER RIDING A TAXI AGAIN.
There were some moments that I did not see coming, and that's where Cambria delievered plot twsit after plot twist. I loved it.
Taxi had enough suspense with a side of romance. In Cambria's author note she mentioned that she struggled some while writing this, but that's what makes her an amazing author, because I did not see that
I saw a story that flowed, that kept me entranced, and made me now start to fear taxi's.
She did a job well done.

5.0 out of 5 stars You'll never think of a Taxi ride in the same way again. May 9 2016

Everything a Cambria book from the Take It Off series should be - angst, suspense, a connection between two characters you can feel coming through the pages and of course off the charts chemistry. Rose and Derek had a link that could not be broken. I don't want to give anything away with this review but just to Cambria knows how to do this series justice and I've loved all 11 of these books just as much as the #hashtag series.

3.0 out of 5 stars I just wanted more July 24 2016

Better than I thought it would be. I was tempted to not purchase this book for the longest time since the summary did not sound exactly appealing to me. In the end I really liked a lot of them components to the story. I enjoyed that our main characters knew each other before being taken. I also like that the story didn't end with them being rescued. There was more to the story after that really added to the depth and creativity. I don't know how much of it was realistic. When I say realistic, I mean how it made me feel with the characters. I don't care if the plot is crazy out there, as long as the story drags me in and messes with my emotions. I want to feel with the characters. I want to get so sucked in that I have to finish the book this very second otherwise I won't be able to function in my daily life. This book didn't really grasp me the way others have been known to. It was good, but lacking which is why it got the 3 stars from me.
4.0 out of 5 stars Please don't give up on this series :) May 22 2017

I read the author's notes and I have to say that I am always checking for more of this series. I have read all 11 books and lots of other books and series and this has been a favorite of mine since the first time I read Text. Yes, I said the first time. I usually tend to enjoy a series most when I get to follow all of the characters and the books flow into one another, however, this series has a special place in my library and I hope there will be more!
