We chose this for our book club read. One of our members daughter's works with Raminder. I was just at a East Indian wedding and the traditional procedures of the families blew me away. This book made me aware of how difficult it is for
the western culture being hard for east indians to integrate.

this book was written with passion and pain about a small committee, how daughters and sons are treated. It was written how values are so different in each culture. Loved reading about each personality with diaries explaining more about the individual.,. A Must read.. you will not be disappointed. we all need to read about this complex culture. Done with such powerful elegance. Read this book. You will have your eyes opened!!
