Forget the current Michael Bay CGI travesties, these are the classic film Turtles and they're pure, addictive fun.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) - Although Raphael steals a few of Leonardo's plot points, this first film is fairly true to the comic book. The film looks dark and gritty but it has a lot of levity to it, too, and is quite touching at times. ****

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991) - The weakest entry of the series. After parents complained about the violence in the first film, the Turtles don't even use their weapons in this. And the less said about the mutant wolf, the mutant snapping turtle, and the mutant Vanilla Ice the better! **

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993) - Don't judge this movie solely on the cheaper animatronics/costumes. It's actually got a more grown-up story involving time-travel and Casey Jones gets to stretch his acting muscles in a dual role. ****

TMNT (2007) - An underrated gem that has moments of hilarity mixed with moments of dramatic tension and the animation and design is top notch. One can easily consider this a sequel to the three live-action films, as there is a continued character development as well as a few references to the previous films. ****

By the way, don't pay the exorbitant prices being asked for here. We bought these movies individually for only $5 each and I'm sure I've seen this multi-movie set in stores for $10.

Amazing!!! I can't believe the value. All four movies are on separate discs, no flipping the disc to get the next movie. The movies are as good as I remembered them to be. The kids, one a boy, the other a girl both enjoy the movies!!!!

For me, the 80's version of the Turtles are the best one we can get. I was just a few years old when the first cartoon came out and when I discover that a live movie was going to be release, I was impatient to see it. For sure it was different from the cartoon but I loved it then and I still do now. This set contain the three live movies and the CGI ones... plus a few "gifts". The case is really nice too. If your a fan of the Turtles, get this set, it is just 1$ more than the other set that only contain the three live movies, so it is not that much more to get the whole collection.

I never knew that this particular TMNT collection existed until recently. When I saw it, I immediately got it. The TMNT animated film is a bonus, but it's the original TMNT live action trilogy of films from the early 90s that bring back childhood nostalgia. Was a HUGE TMNT cartoon fan back than, how pretty much EVERY young boy was at that time. By modern standards, the three live action films are very dated, and are on the cheesy side. But still very enjoyable to watch as an adult. Especially cause they can trigger fond memories of that time when they each first came out.

OK so they have been around awhile, yet as cheesy as it seems nowdays and no matter how old the jokes, I still love it. For some wiered reason this 4 DVD set was not available in the UK, but Amazon .CA delivered within 48hrs, nice going guys. I have most of the cartoon episodes on VHS but could I by the original film?, No! These films are still very enjoyable, and my son loves them too, so a whole new generation can enjoy the shell backed four and of course Splinter amd the lovely April O'Neil.

The taped images were getting blotchy, fuzzy and squelched with prolonged use.
The high res quality of the DVDs made my wide screen HD tv a worthwhile purchase.

This film collection enhanced my viewing experience.
The movies are no longer so grainy and dark.
The audio is excellent
