Product Description

The sexual tension is palpable; the erotic path they’re on is inevitable.

Haylee Holloway has experienced more grief than a twenty-two year old should have to endure. When she moves to LA for a fresh start and takes a job as an assistant for an advertising company the last thing she expects is to have to step in last minute during a photo shoot as the model.
Her bikini line and weight are suddenly open topics of discussion, and a client’s million dollar campaign is hanging in the balance. To cap it off, the multi-millionaire, gorgeous owner of the company shows up and takes charge.

Josh Singer, the owner of Gamble Advertising is private, intense, and hard to read. His voice is sexy, his eyes are smoldering and when he learns of Haylee’s goal to save money for law school, he makes her an offer she can’t refuse:
To move to New York City and work for him directly as his assistant.

Haylee’s dilemma: how does she travel the world with a gorgeous boss whose voice alone conjures up a romantic fantasy and not completely make a fool of herself?
Frustrated with Josh’s mixed signals, Haylee finally puts it all on the line. Blurring both their professional and personal lives can they keep things temporary as planned or will they both realize some things weren’t meant to end?

This book has flavors of romantic comedy, chick lit and a true contemporary romance novel all in one. Told in first person, it's about finding romance where you least expect it
with the belief that humor, self-discovery, and love really can conquer anything.

Full Length Standalone book with no cliffhanger. First book of the “Something Series”
Recommended for mature readers due to situations of language, and sexual content.

About the Author

Aubrey Bondurant loves to write, read and travel. She's former military and lives on the East Coast with her husband and boys. She has an affinity for big drooly dogs and a great margarita. When she isn't working full time at her day job, she puts fingers to keyboard to craft a story. She had a goal to publish her first book before she turned the big 4-0. She may have missed that by a tad, but has finally fulfilled that dream with Tell Me Something! She calls her style of writing, "Smutty Chick-lit" and likes to write a novel with an ending and no cliff hanger with the sequels for the purpose of the supporting characters.

HASH(0xa799342c) out of 5 stars Fabulous Debut Novel! Love this book!! Aug. 10 2015
By Amy ~ Rebels n Readers - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
What does Haylee do when the world falls in her lap? She's assistant to a pita of a man, who treats her like shes stupid. However, one fateful day, she's in the right place at the right time. Handed a modeling gig that shoots her to possible stardom, in front of THE hottest guy she's ever seen; who also happens to be her boss' boss. Yea she can do this. Josh just so happens to make all her dreams come true. But... as with anything that sounds too good to be true, he also brings out the good, bad, and ugly.
Haylee isn't your typical woman. She's been through hell and back in the past couple of years, and coping? Yea, not so much.

Josh is an enigma all his own. Josh Singer is the, way too young owner of everything that is Gamble. He's quite used to being taken advantage of, being taken for his looks alone... so when fresh faced Haylee waltzed into his life, he was shaken to his core. Dealing with his own set of betrayals, Josh is broken. He knows he can't be with Haylee simply due to the lines between employer/employee, however, Haylee refuses to make it easy on him. She makes him take responsibility for his actions & his words.

Here's the thing about Tell Me Something...

Aubrey created these two amazingly complex characters, and complex they are. In a way that each and every reader can relate to. Haylee and Josh each have their own individual issues, that control them, and it shapes who they are as people and you can definitely see how it affects the relationships around them. Each of them must learn to deal with the hands they have been dealt in order to keep their relationship alive. She truly did a phenomenal job with these two characters. I can't wait to read Brian and Sasha's book, as I'm certain more sparks are going to fly!!

For a debut novel, Aubrey Bondurant got this one perfectly!! Well done!!

HASH(0xa7993d2c) out of 5 stars I am completely blown away by this book Aug. 3 2015
By Sam ~ Redhot Romance - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
It is everything that I look for in a romance book. The storyline sucked me in and had me desperate to know what would happen next and how it would all work out. It is when I come across book gems like this one that I am grateful of the blooming Indie community. I cannot believe that this is a debut novel. I am so very lucky that I came across this recommendation by another reviewer that I follow.

Haylee has a plan. After suffering more that anyone ever should ever have to in such a short period of time, she decides that she needs to reclaim her dream. But first, she needs to save the dollars. The result is a job that unexpectedly finds her standing in for a model for a major advertising campaign. It is during this shoot that she meets and is captivated by the deliciously handsome owner of the company – Josh Singer. She is instantly captivated and the attraction that she is like a physical thing.

Josh Singer is a powerful man. When he drops in on a photo shoot for an advertising campaign being developed by his company he is not expecting that one of his staff is going to have to step in for the model. Even more unexpected is the sexual tension that crackles between himself and the female employee, Haylee. It is with this tension riding his emotions that he offers Haylee a promotion to become his personal assistant and moves her across the country.

The whole relationship is wrought with the undertones of their sexual attraction and tension. Can they successfully maintain a working relationship and ignore what is lurking beneath the surface, or will it explode in spectacular fireworks?

There is so much that I loved about this book. But most especially, it was Aubrey’s ability to invest me in the story of Haylee and Josh. I love being drawn into a book through the writing that you don’t realise pages are turning at the rate of knots.

Josh is your typical arrogant, self centred businessman in the beginning of this book. He of course comes with his own set of personal demons and issues that leads him to hold himself back from relationships. Throughout this book he went from a character that absolutely frustrated me with his actions to one that I was hoping would be able to redeem himself. I need to warn you that there will be several times that you absolutely want to throat punch Josh. The way that he acts in some situations is just frustrating, especially when he was selfish in his actions without any real concern of the consequences. Yet there is no mistaking that this man is pure alpha through and through.

What I loved about Haylee in this book is that she was the aggressor in kick starting the exploration of something between the pair. The ways in which she handled some of the situations that she was placed in may not have been the best, but I felt that she at least stayed true to who she was.

The strong supporting characters in this book just topped off the whole experience. There were times where I was so taken by their actions towards the main characters that they almost stole the storyline. I can’t wait to see what happens with them in the future.

The dynamic between Josh & Haylee was utterly explosive. The steamy scenes were off the charts and made me hot under the collar a lot. There is no mistaking that Aubrey has a way with words to bring these scenes to life.
Yet the best part about this book, that through all this there was a very real story for each of these characters where they had to face demons that plague many in real life. I love the way that both characters supported and nurtured each other through these issues, mostly without judgement.

I have to say that I am really excited to see what comes next from Aubrey. This debut was outstanding and so well written. I recommend this book to all lovers of hot romances with bossy alphas and plenty of steam.

HASH(0xa79938b8) out of 5 stars Promising New Series... July 15 2015
By Book Babe - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
4.25 Stars

Haylee and Josh sucked me in right from the beginning. The opening scene which is the catalyst to their first meeting and subsequent new working arrangements was cute and light-hearted.

Josh is rather refreshing in that he didn’t always fit the typical contemporary romance hero mold. He’s both in control and vulnerable at the same time. He has his flaws, but they make him seem real. His character comes with a few twists/reveals, one rather unique, that were intriguing to read as they unfolded.

I loved how Haylee kept Josh on his toes and didn’t let him get away with some of the double standards that cropped up as they negotiated their secret romance and his hot/cold moments. Haylee’s responses to various early scenarios were commendable, and for most of the book she made a pretty good strong female role model in fiction. The author does a good job of depicting the difference among the sexes in the process.

Haylee and Josh kept me turning pages for most of the book. The first half or more is the strongest, most engaging, as they test out the dynamics of an “office fling.” It was easy to see how the two fall in love and their exchanges of information (i.e.'tell me something') were a nice addition to the romance. There’s also plenty of fun fantasy moments as Haylee gets a lot of what most girls dream about.

Towards the end I was a little disappointed at how Haylee handled certain things though. I understood she had her own issues she was dealing with, but she’d communicated so well with Josh up to that point that their “relationship troubles” in the final chapters were frustrating. None the less, it’s a good story, and I liked the way at least one of their obstacles worked out.

This is the first book in the stand-alone The "Something" Series. The supporting characters in this one are likeable, well developed additions to Josh and Haylee's story so they should be promising characters in their own. I look forward to Brian and Sasha’s story (Ask Me Something), and I hope Josh’s brother gets one too!

Haylee's saving up for law school and working as an admin assistant for a ad agency. When a photo shoot goes bad, Haylee's roped into becoming the model by the head of the agency (Josh) who then has designs on stealing her away for his own assistant... and girlfriend.

While this started light, this got really heavy by the end... trust issues, secret relationships, depression and grief, pregnancy, etc. and it wasn't fun anymore.

The writing in the beginning felt tight, stilted, and a bit awkward. Either it got better as it went on or I just got used to it or I got too wrapped up in the story to notice anymore. This could use an editor -- for both high level story editing and some smoothing of awkwardness in the language.

I'm not sure I actually liked Josh's character all that much.... so it became harder to read this as he kept messing up and acting like a jerk. I'm not sure this was intended by the author, but I didn't recognize the depression signs in Haylee (which is common in real life). The depression and trust issues are pretty serious.

At least there's an HEA.... but I'm not sure it's clear what Haylee's future is. Will she continue law school? Work with Josh? I feel like there's more to be told about her and how she deals with all of this newness in her life. The wedding really is inconsequential to all of the other stuff.

HASH(0xa7816450) out of 5 stars Solid and Refreshing! Can't wait for more from this author! July 10 2016

First of al,l I want to say I read A LOT of novels, especially romance and biographies, but I do not write many reviews. I've read some pretty decent books from Amazon, but I suppose I just was not inspired enough to write many reviews. This series (although you can read them as standalones) is AMAZING!!!! I'm only going to write one review, which is for the first book "Tell Me Something," but I will rate all three.

This is the second book I actually gave a 5-star rating. I don't even know where to start. I am not going to write about the plot like many reviews do, but I will write why I LOOOOVE this book. It is different than most romance novels. The heroine Haylee is actually a very strong woman (especially for 22) and she is not afraid to communicate her thoughts with the Josh. She does not put up with much and is very funny and witty. I love not only the chemistry between Haylee and Josh, but their dynamic as a whole. They compliment each other very well and their communication is great. The funny thing is that I almost stopped reading this book about 20% in because I felt like it was predictable. Boy, was I wrong. I am so glad I kept reading because it became more and more interesting. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book. I didn't feel as though I wanted to skip ahead and I thought the pacing was just right. I highly recommend giving it a try and if you like it like I did, the next two in the series are just as good.

There is one scene that I really enjoyed which demonstrates Haylee's personality. At one point, she and Josh and have relations on his work desk and afterword Haylee wants to talk to him about something regarding their relationship (I can't even remember the details). Josh says he does not want to talk about it at work. As a result, Haylee walks back to her office to grab Clorox wipes and wipes down his desk saying something to the effect of ,"if you don't want to talk about us HERE, you shouldn't have just done me THERE (pointing to the desk she just wiped off)." I LOVED it. This is just one example of how great the h. is in this book. Josh is great too, although there were a few times I wanted to slap him.

I know there are going to be two more books in the series and I can't wait!
