Product Description

A ROMANTIC SUSPENSE FROM AUTHOR CAMBRIA HEBERT...
CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE
Stranded and alone with not one, but two wickedly enticing men.

Ava arrives at the airport, expecting to board a commercial flight to Puerto Rico. But a plane ticket isn't waiting for her. Instead, she finds a guy with dark curly hair wearing seriously ratty jeans and holding a sign with her name on it.

He may not look like a pilot, but he is. And he's her ride.

So now it's just Nash and her on a tiny tin can of a plane flying over the Atlantic. When a thunderstorm comes out of nowhere, it proves to be too much for the little aircraft.

Ava and Nash plunge from the sky and end up on an uncharted deserted island.

Stranded.

As if that isn't bad enough, Ava starts to desire more than just rescue--hunger for more than food. Nash is only too happy to oblige... but it seems they might not be as alone as they thought.

And Nash might have some competition in claiming Ava's body... and her heart.

This was a great addition to the Take it off series. I love them all. Nash was very hot. Being stuck with him would be a fantasy

4.0 out of 5 stars worth the read July 29 2014

This book was a struggle. I started it, then put it down for a bit. Then today I was in a book funk & nothing sounded good & usually that's when I reach for a "recovery re-read." Cambria's books are always good for that! But this one... It just kept taunting me. It's the one book in the TIO series that I hadn't wanted to read. I bought it because it's part of the series, and I want the whole series. But it sat on my shelf, and I would try to read it & just couldn't.

I'm not a fan of triangles, or desert island stories, frankly.

But this is Cambria, and darn her, she made me fall in love with Ava & Nash! They have an instant connection, but also an instant annoyance with each other. But when things get hinky, and they know the plane is going down... his first instinct is to protect her, and hers is to be grateful the last sound she hears will be his voice.

*swoon*

And then, on the island... the way he takes care of her, the way she wants to take care of him, it all is just so mesmerizing... And the triangle portion of the story - well, it's not my favorite, but goodness the way it's written, seriously fabulous story telling!

And so, in the end, while this book isn't my favorite in the TIO series, I did end up really loving it, and it will be re-read. So, definitely worth it! : )
4.0 out of 5 stars Just like the rest of the Take It Off series so ... June 30 2015

Just like the rest of the Take It Off series so far, I absolutely loved this book. Cambria Hebert is so gifted at just sucking you into a book and then never letting you go.

This book was absolutely amazing and I couldn't get enough of it. I won't lie, I noticed a few spelling and grammatical errors (this review was written when the book was first released but never posted. I am unaware if any changes have been made to the book since then) but honestly the story itself and the characters were so good and so easy to lose yourself in that a few simple mistakes really don't mean anything.

I definitely plan to continue this series and have to say that so far, Nash is my favorite male character from the books up to this point. He was yummy and knew what he was doing in their horrible situation.

I cannot wait to read Text and find out what Cambria has in store for us next!

Rating: 4 Stars.
Favorite Character: Nash.
4.0 out of 5 stars Crash land onto an island of passion, intrigue, and dangerous adventure! Aug. 3 2014

Kate Hudson look-alike Ava Malone has no guy and no job and thus she's been elected by her family to be the one to honor her late grandmother's dying wish to have her ashes sprinkled over the ocean.

Tan, tall, sea green eyes, thick unruly hair, and ripped jeans that "hold in everything that's important" Nash Prescott has been elected by his family to fly Ava from Miami to Puerto Rico.

Nash flies a not-so-stellar private jet, but because their grandmothers were dear friends, Ava reluctantly agrees. It looks like it's going to fall out of the sky, and unfortunately (or is it fortunately) for them it does. A storm causes them to crash land on an island where things get a little...Lost.

Enter Duke, a mysterious man also stranded on the island. Now Ava has two horny men to temp her. Meanwhile, sound of drums in the night, warnings of `don't go on the other side of the island,' gunshots, and erotic dreams plague Ava. Should she be afraid for her life or of the men in it?

There are plenty of mysterious happening and unknown intentions to keep the pages turning. How will they be rescued? What or who exactly is on the other side of the island? Is Duke really who he says he is? Are Ava and Nash just experiencing traumatic bonding or could their feeling for each other survive if and when they are rescued?

Right off the bat, Ava and Nash have cute banter and a growing attraction for each other. Nash becomes a little bit of a hero and a little bit of a protector. It's hard not to find him swoon-worthy. And who doesn't love sex on the beach?

The story is told from Ava's point of view. There is an HEA. And while part of a series, this is a stand alone book.

5.0 out of 5 stars NASH ;-) Oct. 16 2013

If I ever get marooned on an island, I certainly hope that it's with Nash. The man is hot!! He's protective, smart, sexy, tall, dark and has beautiful green eyes. From the minute she lays eyes on him in the airport in those holey blue jeans that fit just right, Ava is immediately attracted to Nash. And who the heck could blame her? Ava's grandmother has passed away and left instructions for her ashes to be spread in Puerto Rico. Nash and Ava's grandmothers (Abuelas) were best friends. Nash is a pilot and has a small plane, and has been sent by his grandmother to Miami to pick up Ava and return her to Puerto Rico. While en route, a bad storm develops and their plane crashes on a small deserted island. Or is it deserted? I'll let you read about that.

These two have strong and immediate chemistry. Even when the plane was going down, Nash's first instinct is to protect Ava. He is just the perfect man and always puts Ava's needs/safety before his own. The majority of this book takes place on the island as they wait in hopes of being rescued. Feelings for each other develop, and get stronger and stronger each day. They are so cute together.

You'll enjoy this stand alone book and SPOILER, it does have a happy ending. You'll also get a preview of the next book Text, due for release in November. Can't wait. I have thoroughly enjoyed all three books so far in this series.

2.0 out of 5 stars It had potential... *minor spoilers* Feb. 24 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

This book had the potential to be a five-star read. However, there was a lack of character development, and what we did learn about the heroine was not flattering - she says she's the kind of girl who gets let go from her job and her family thinks she's a failure... and never really explains any of it further than that. Then there were some inconsistencies and minor annoyances that just detracted from the story. She's holding his hand - then he reaches over to grab her hand. And she lets Nash put stitches in her head and THEN says they should try to look for a hospital. She has all these erotic dreams, but then she's totally shocked by some of the things Nash does to her. The heroine was overall just wimpy and unimpressive. Why is this great guy Nash so into her? I have no idea.
