I have yet to read a John L. Flynn book I did not fall in love with. The characters, plot, settings, and reality-based storylines are all exemplary. Terror at G-20 is awesome! From page one, whether you have read the prior three in the series or not, grabs you by the collar and pulls you through the rabbit hole to San Francisco and in the middle of a human trafficking auction. It is incomprehensible to think this happens every day. Girls and boys are kidnapped right off the street and never heard from again; shipped over to countries (or kept here in the U.S.) where they are abused, mutilated, and, eventually when they are no longer tolerable, murdered. Kate Dawson digs in her heels and never lets the case slip away, even when it involves international diplomacy with North Korea and possible global human annihilation. All is plausible and possible. Chemical weapons don’t have to ride on a rocket, they can come on one of the millions of container ships that come to port here or inside humans (just like drug smuggling, never detected). I have read all the books in the Kate Dawson series now — Intimate Bondage, Architects of Armageddon, Murder on Air Force One, and Terror at G-20 — and every single one is different and dang good. I highly recommend getting all four! They are all stand-alone novels, but to read them in order is even better. Top notch!
