Towards the end, Lori Wick was constantly letting us know about how strong Dakota was. How safe he made everyone feel. We get the point after a couple of times.
I didn't think that Darvi deserved Dakota. Dakota deserved better. Darvi seemed so childish. I realize she's been through a lot, but then again, she is a woman. She pointed that out to her uncle in the beginning.
I thought it was silly that in the beginning Dakota says that Darvi was cute, but not pretty. Then in the middle of the book and so forth, it seemed as if on every other page another guy was following after Darvi. Men want to talk to her constantly. I mean, come one, what's going on? That just doesn't make sense at all. In my opion, kind of lame.
I actully liked Elliot and Seth. I think that it was sweet that Seth liked her so much. I don't agree with him about locking her up, but he seemed like a really nice guy. I was actully hoping she would like him in return. I felt soooooo bad for him.
It wasn't believable that he kept after her even when she pushed him away time and time again. I don't think that anyone has that much persistent, patience, and love than God.
Cassy was an okay character. It was unrealistic that she kept on taking everything Darvi said to heart. I think some people do believe everything, but the way Cassy was wrote, she didn't seem at all believable. At first, I actully thought that Elliot and Cassy had children together. It wasn't until later that I realized that she was married before.
Overall, 'City Girl' was better. This book is worth a read, but not a keeper. Sorry Lori Wick. I love a lot of your other books. But this one just wasn't the best.
