I feel like my eyes have been opened! This book is for the woman who is tired of being told, “Just play the game and success will follow!” Vicki Saunders gives way to the refreshing realization that the old way of doing businesses is a thing of the past, and that as women, we have more opportunities available to us than ever before.
Instead of providing just motivational jargon, this book gives real answers as to how you can prevail in the face of today’s business challenges, i.e, raising capital, finding purpose in your business, leveraging your strengths. It also explores your inner spirit, “what is holding you back,” as women, from achieving our goals. By the time I got to Principle #5 which stated, “It doesn’t have to be hard,” I was like, “Thank-you!” This book left me breathing a sigh of relief, and feeling truly empowered. Thank-you Vicki.

If you are tired of the traditional wisdom of working as hard as you possibly can to achieve success, then pick up this book. Vicki outlines a way of doing business that is taps into what makes you tick, how you can be as efficient as possible so that you can reclaim time, and how you can seek help along the way by finding your "tribe". Following the SheEO "principle" has made me a happier, more fulfilled, and more successful entrepreneur. Plus buying the book supports the SheEO community, so it's a win-win!

You don't have to be a CEO to be a SheEO and being a SheEO means that you stand totally in your power and definition of success as a modern woman. As I was reading Vicki's book, I kept thinking, "This woman gets it!" Vicki's beliefs add passion to our collective consciousness that NOW is a great time to be alive as the predominantly masculine model of doing business is changing to a more female approach.

Vicki highlights why the 24/7 expectation of work is not the only way to work, nor the most productive, her concepts of doing everything ease with following the energy to create richness in your life and organize energy-for-impact meetings are really helpful! Ultimately, in defining success for oneself, Vicki talks about how mastery plus meaning equals YOUR definition of success. These tips and topics are helpful for anyone running a business or just living their life!

Other books like Thrive by Arianna Huffington talk about defining what success means to you, but those still seem stuck in an old way of working, or don't provide enough insight into greater change. Whether you are male or female, this book is a great read to see how the new paradigm shift is occurring, at a local level and with organic growth. Enjoy!
