Great story! Shows kids about sharing but also about how holding onto things (people) doesn't make them yours. Wonderful pictures too.

I think this is a good picture-book for quite young children. Two of the stars go for: 1) Canadian-type setting and, 2) full-page pictures, done by the author. There is not much action and there really isn't a villain or anything that pits itself against the boy and his moose. But, any young child could relate to Wilfred's perceptions, desires and fears. Award-winning author & illustrator. (Ages 4 - 7)

I am writing currently my debut children's picture book and this Jeffers work is a nice example of painting outside of the lines and making a modern kid's book that is fresh and amusing, even for adults. These are the goals for my own 32 pg book. His use of collage and colour, a mix of text font styles and cursive makes it unique. Thx O.J!

I just discovered the works of Oliver Jeffers with this book and I can tell it is one of the funniest and more clever children books I have read in a long time. My 5 years old loves it. I will keep track of him and his books from now on.

My son enjoys this book. The illustrations are great. Some humour meant more for the adults reading it which is ok. It's a pretty fun book.
