With this book Dana Marton has returned to the excellence of her Broslin Creek days. There is just the right amount of creepy fear, coupled with humour and descriptive writing to make you feel you are part of the action and should be looking over your shoulder for the boogey man just in case.

Jess is a strong feisty woman who has got over her earlier trauma by becoming a strong stunt woman. Derek fought his demons by becoming a navy SEAL and then a successful author. I loved the sparks between the two of them. The secondary characters are also well written and not just sketches on the periphery.

For me this was a couldn’t put down book and definitely one for the shelf to be reread.

Dana Marton has created another world that sucks you in. The characters are robust and well rounded. The main characher has a shade in her past that she must deal woth and after some wonderful twists and turns you end up realising you have been reading all night.
I love the links to her other collections but it can be read as a stand alone book.
