I would hate for new readers to give up trying plant-based eating because the recipes are incomplete. Brendan, please get a better editor for your next book (I will happily do it)!
1. As a person new to clean eating, having recipes with "normal" ingredients is important. Several recipes in this book fall into this category.
2. Many of the ingredients that are harder to find have explanations as to why they are used, making it easy to find a substitution or to make the choice to omit it if needed.
3. Taste is always crucial. These recipes are flavourful!
4. The science behind clean eating is presented throughout the book. It's important to know WHY!
5. I love the explanation before every recipe: how it tastes, why it's good for you and/or when best to consume.
Thrive Cookbook is full of tasty recipes ideal for anyone interested in clean eating!
