Pros: The instructions were clear and the installation straight forward, the fit is very good and feels solid.
Cons: Other than my squeamishness about the cost, the rack has increased the wind noise considerably, so consider the fairing kit (assuming that's an effective solution) if you aren't already offended but the total cost.
Rack configuration: 460 podium foot pack, 3068 fit kit, and 50" square bars

The set of stuff you need is kind of confusing at first. The "fit kit" actually bolts into the hardpoints on the top of the car. The Podium kit bolts onto a wing on the fit kit and you mount the bars on the podium kit. So you need the three separate items to make it come together. Fit kit, podium kit and cross bars.
Warning - the podium feet come in two pieces, the piece that bolts onto the fit kit bracket and a fascia piece with Thule printed on it which makes the outward face of the podium look all nice. There is a twist plug that attaches the fascia plate to the bolt on element. Make absolutely sure the twist plug is installed correctly and that it secures the fascia plate.I thought I had it but when I got my fingernails behind the plate to give it a pull test it popped right off. Be real careful and check the security else your fascia plate(s) will come off on the freeway which would suck.
This is solid when mounted on the vehicle. It requires two people to place the assembled unit and it is easy to scratch the vehicle paint. I found I need to cover the roof with a packing blanket, place the fully assembled carrier, rails and mounting feet on the blanket, then mount one foot at a time. Removal is not a problem. Once mounted they will not scratch.
I've used Thule systems since the mid 90s so am biased and have no experience with Brand X or Y.
I used the Thule website to be sure I was ordering the right items.
It leads you to retailers so you can quickly look for competitive prices - Amazon seemed to be a good choice.
The new feet fit my Audi Avant rails perfectly.
The instructions are all visual vs. verbal so it takes a little time to "get" them. However the installation is a snap.
They feel secure on the rack - I can't budge them using "reasonable" force so I am confident they won't fly off the car with my bike attached when I hit 75 mph.
The covers are a bit hard to fit - one of the four seems to not line up as well as the other three.
I was able to use my old locks.
