I enjoyed the second book in the series as much as the first. While the Witcher is not the primary protagonist in this book it is still an great read. I wish it was longer, it felt like a small book, but I did binge read it.

By Omnes TOP 500 REVIEWER on Sept. 8 2015
Format: Kindle Edition
In this new part of the Witcher saga, whose story becomes more and more dramatic and rhythmic than in previous volumes, we are dealing this time with a volume where the character of Ciri covers the majority of the story; much more than Geralt, witcher and hero of this series. While this may offend some readers, this strategy Sapkowski employs enriches the diversity of perspectives of his characters and his universe, which was not the case in the first two volumes devoted exclusively to Geralt.

This volume is also interesting because it informs us of several dramatic ironies that the other characters - Geralt notably- ignore and which will only be revealed to him and other characters in the following volumes.

Among the chapters I read, I enjoyed Ciri's exploits in the city and around the tower Thanned, but also those taking place in a desert after a crucial moment in history. I will not reveal more details of this volume. But reading this very tense and dramatic book encouraged me to continue following the adventures of Geralt the Witcher.

Again, great idea to use the video game's covers as their tone, color palette and character designs do justice to this story.

Loved it!! Andrzej Sapkowski is a truly talented story teller. His characters are well developped and complex. I'm slightly disappointed however the books were not translated sooner.
