if The Division's doomsday scenario fascinates you as much as it frightens you, then you owe it to yourself to pick up the game's accompanying tie-in novel: New York Collapse."
-Gamecrate"Tom Clancy's The Division: New York Collapse looks like it was found in a doomsday bunker. It's weathered, torn and waterproofed with wax. Printed inside is an honest-to-goodness survival guide full of tips about snaring rabbits in Central Park and making space heaters out of terra-cotta flower pots. But the survival guide is only one layer of New York Collapse. Scrawled in what looks like a handwritten font through the margins is the firsthand account of April Kelleher, a 30-something Brooklynite trapped in the citywide quarantine."
-Newsweek"Tom Clancy's The Division: New York Collapse is a history and field guide to the New York experienced in The Division. The novel feels like a game itself - the book is written as a woman's first-hand account of the city after its fall. Readers will need to use included artifacts to piece the story together and figure out more about New York's collapse."
-Gaming Illustrated"It may have been created specifically to accompany the game, but it's probably the most effective survival book about urban disaster that I've read. And I'm a survival nerd, so I've read a lot of them."
-Outside online"Check out New York Collapse - a companion guide stuffed with information, backstory and cool physical trinkets."

First off, the amount of details in the book was surprising. The cover looks and feels like its been through a apocalypse. The pages inside have written all over the place and it looks like it was all made by hand! It follows a girl living in the situation that is going on in New York in the game. The amount of detail in the text and on the book itself is awesome. They also included some objects like a map and bus card to name a few.
Second, the books story goes along with the game. She explains things that you might see in game and even says stuff you never knew about. Like one part she talks about the army closing down the bridges and that some people get shot trying to cross it. Small details like that not only make the book more intriguing but also gives you the extra motivation to explore the map in game. She also points out how the writer of the book seems to have extremely detailed facts about the apocalypse that could happen. She circles out some details that make you wonder what happened and how the virus was spread and by who.
Lastly, this book is amazing. The amount of details on the book and in the book is well worth the price. It has many pages so its great for off time and incase you have nothing to do! I would recommend this to anyone who loves reading books and who enjoys detailed stories! Also all The Division players would enjoy it also.
You really should get it! Its worth the $30 bucks
