I give this game 8.5 out of 10. Graphics are amazing...solid story...drone is awesome. One major flaw...for those who love helicopters, you will be disappointed...they have dumbed down the controls we all mastered playing Battlefield. They are oversimplified, awkward and ruins the fun of flying a helicopter. Hopefully there will be a patch at some point fixing this. Small annoyance...dialogue is super repetitive.
About time this game game out...been waiting for a Squad Based Tactical Shooter FOREVER! The last great SBTS's were Tom Clancy's Vegas 1 and 2. If you haven't played them go buy them right now! They still hold up and then some.
Thinking of buying this game? Do it! Weeks and weeks of entertainment...huge campaign and sweet guns!
Graphics look great at night when it's raining, it's easier to sneak around but a flash of lightning can give away your position, little details like that make the game just add to the whole experience. The physics are very realistic, having to account for things like bullet drop is a nice touch
Multiplayer is crazy fun when playing with friends. The best thing is you can complete the game with or without them, there's no separate loading or game mode, it's all very seemless. You can help each other with current missions You're working on.
Things you may wanna change out the gate are the controller settings. They seem a little too slow or not as sensitive when you first start. Just bump it up a bit to make things like walking/turning/aiming a little more snappy.
You can also customize your guns and characters look to your heart's content
Ghost Recons is a vast, beautiful game rich with dangerous outposts in sprawling jungles, towering mountains snow tops, and even barren salt flats.
Although the traveling system leaves something for the imagination, and the enemy variety is very limited, the many different ways to approach each objective makes this game a new staple for any Tom Clancy Ghost's fan.
The game's story won't win any awards for story telling but it was nice to be given the choice in how or where you take the story. I can hop into co-op, take out one of the 20 bosses with extreme prejudice, then pull the break and relax solo while I take on the many side missions leading up to aforementioned boss.
Each territory of Bolivia's massive map has a boss, who has a boss, who has a boss, all leading to the main boss of the game. And again, you are given the option of taking out the main villain if you so wish after taking out only 2 under bosses. So it's a choose your pace story as compared to a choose your ending story.
Leveling up is different but I prefer it to the standard do-this-to-get-this-amount-of-experience yada yards yada. Instead leveling up your character won't only require skill points earned through general XP, but each unique skill will require certain amounts of materials such as food, communication, gasoline etc. it forces you to not only run into towns gun blazing but to actually venture to find these preliminaries.
Not that venturing is hard to do. I find myself often looking off in the distance and enjoying the view as the sun peaks over the mountain's horizon.
Tl;Dr version:
-Game is beautiful
-Choose your play style
-Choose where the story goes
-Awesome co-op (Haven't had a drop-out once!)
-Too much traveling
-Not enough enemy variation
