I was hoping for a more puzzle solving RPG rather than a shooter, yet the game has amazing graphics, and the overall portayal of Lara is excellent. The game it self does keep you coming back, storyline adventure is awesome, and although i do enjoy a good shooter game,as a TB fan it was somewhat disappointing, as by the end Lara is a lean mean killing machine, hence 4 out of 5 stars.

The game itself is really good -- pretty much what I expected from reviews. One of the first areas can be pretty frustrating at first, but once I got accustomed to the controls and interface it was pretty smooth sailing. Great graphics, acting, sound, etc.

Third person action-adventure/light RPG games are my favourite and this fit right with my taste. Pretty similar concept to Uncharted. Really neat game mechanic in highlighting objectives (similar to the Batman: Arkham series goggle vision -- but less easy to abuse since you can only use it when you're standing still). Also neat upgrade system that really makes you question which abilities would best benefit your situations and personal play style.

I was never a hardcore tomb raider fan. i had played the first 2 games occasionally, but at the time, they were not at all my cup of tea; most of the games that really kept my attention at the time were more of the plethora of hardcore first-person shooter games genre that exploded in the gaming industry over the course of the last decade.

The wildly successful Uncharted franchise was enough to introduce me to the 3rd-person adventure/puzzle genre. the first game was great for what it was at the time, but it's the 2nd and latest 3rd installment to the franchise that really got me hooked. Uncharted 2 "Among Thieves", i can proudly say, is one of my most favorite games on the PS3. and though i have completed it several times ever since i first bought it, it is one of the handful of games that i intend to keep for as long as my gaming hobby keeps me entertained.

when i first heard about this game, i was highly skeptical. i wasnt sure if this was going to be a revamp of the already existing franchise, or if this was going to be an entirely new vision of Lara altogether. even more so, because of the overwhelming success of the Uncharted franchise, my initial reaction was to brush off this new Tomb Raider game as merely attempting to be a clone, riding on the coat tails of nathan drake and the success Naughty Dog has had with the Uncharted franchise.

as i read initial reviews of critical acclaim from sites such as Metacritic, i knew that this initial judgement could not be any more further from the truth. after reading over dozens of reviews of the course of one afternoon, i knew that this Tomb Raider game had to atleast be given a fair shot.

It is a good game (however unrealistic at times and quite short), the same engine as ACIII (bow, looting, killed animals and ennemies, treasure maps) but it is sooo frustrating to get at the end and not have plus value or additional sidequests you can buy except (like in AC) for 1 tomb. So yes, just like not love.

Great story, amazing graphics, life-like human movement and Lara Croft looks better than ever. Way better. This is as good as, if not better than Uncharted 3. An amazing game with tons of attention to detail. Tomb raider sets the bar very high for this year's new releases.

I ordered this version of the game by mistake, only to reorder the Xbox version from the same seller later. Was pleased with the shipping speed and the game itself was absolutely great in every way!
The Shipping could have been a bit more professional.
I recommend this game to all adventure lovers. You get a bit of everything in this game. Could easily get lost on the Island playing this game!

The graphics and Laura are unbelievable, the story of her beginnings are great. The programmers paid attention to detail. It's amazing but ... I was disappointed. TR is a shooter game. The discoveries are thrown in just to call it tomb raider. Laura is a killing machine by the end of the game which disappointed me. I love her new look but they could have done more on the exploration side like previous TR games. Also for $60.00 I didn't think it was worth it. I finished the game in 3 days .... so what's next. Multiplayer on-line doesn't really attract me. Lots of extras to buy for on-line but it's the same game with on-line players and a few extras thrown in. I wish that TR reverted back to the beginnings where it was more about finding and exploring than killing. Too much of this crap in games already. TR stood apart from the rest but now its like all the rest .... violence is predominant.

Graphics - excellent
Laura - new look excellent
story line - her beginnings are interesting
game progress - disappointing ... it's all about killing
fun playing - all you do is kill anything that moves ... I really don't find that a lot of fun
exploring - picking up artifacts is not her main focus it's as you go
caves - not interesting
weapons - like the bows - hate the guns
use of weapons - sometimes before you can pull out weapon you're dead
characters - kind of redundant at times ... they keep the plot moving but really don't do anything ... it would have been interesting if they participated the odd time
puzzles are so easy to solve and lame ... doesn't take a long time to figure it out
game itself has more movie like qualities ...
