Did You Know . . .

• A tiger loves the water and swimming?
• That tigers hunt at night?
• A tiger prefers banana splits with chocolate sprinkles?!

For Your Family

Written by a family for your family, Towering Tiger by Michael Wills (with a helping hand from his two young daughters) gives a fantastic insight into the minds, lives and imaginations of these fascinating creatures: from hunting to swimming. Available exclusively as a downloadable e-book, Towering Tiger is aimed at children of all ages – and their adults!

A great balance of fact and fiction, this e-book is packed with humor (which will appeal as much to grown-ups as kids) and interspersed with true, educational snippets about tigers. It’s also superbly illustrated with a selection of gorgeous, fun, colorful photos that children will love to look at. The text is simple enough for a preschooler to understand, easy enough for a second-grader to try to read alone, yet interesting enough to keep older children amused too.

When it comes to literary critics, children are the harshest of all, but Towering Tiger is one e-book that will keep them entertained from start to finish.

Whether you’re a parent, teacher, First-Grader or a cool older kid, you NEED to download this book today. It’s fun, funny, easy-to-read and (ssshhh!) educational too. HASH(0x9b7fd210) out of 5 stars Another Great One! March 4 2013
By Kevin L. Freeman - Published on Amazon.com

After reading the Towering Tiger to my son for about the 15th time now, I think it's safe to assume that he loves the book! We've read a few of Michael Wills' books in this animal series now, and they just keep getting better!

Towering Tiger, like the other books in this animal series, features some stunning pictures of tigers in various locations throughout the world, and the information it relays to children as they read it on their own, or as you read it to them, is richly laden with fun facts and the unique characteristics of the animal that the book features. The books also have plenty of humor interlaced with the facts, so I can tell you from experience that my youngest son, Isaiah, laughs at them all, and now that we've read this one a number of times, he also usually tells me the punch lines just as we arrive at them.

Thanks for another great read!

HASH(0x9b4bc924) out of 5 stars Really nice, gentle book for small children, beautiful pictures! Feb. 26 2013

This is a really nice, gentle book to read to a group of small children- ages 5-9. It is a short book, with beautiful, breath-taking pictures of tigers- like one of a tiger in the river with water dripping from his mouth. Each page starts with a comment, then in blue print, a statistical fact (like tigers can grow to 8-10 feet in length). These facts- always in blue, are followed by a silly question for the really young children, and each page then has a beautiful picture to show the children.

A small suggestion, the book refers to kilometer and here in the US we refer to miles, but then, young children probably wouldn't know the difference either way. Sometimes the author uses words that MIGHT be a little bit mature for small children- such as "coniferous, deciduous, variations, but he does explain a fact, such as, what is a streak of tigers, and a few pages later asks a fun question about a streak of tigers- reinforcing the word "streak" or explaining that tigers are carnivorous and explaining what that means.

I enjoyed reading this book, the children enjoyed hearing it and especially seeing the pictures. I heard a LOT of "oohs & aahs". This makes me want to explore his other books to read to my class.

HASH(0x9d23ae58) out of 5 stars a quick, informative read Feb. 21 2013
By bluejellybean - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Michael Wills has proven to captivate young audiences with his exciting animal series. Similar to others in his collection, Wills' Towering Tiger Picture Book, is an informative, yet fun and involving book for young people to learn about the animal. In between activities to which kids can relate there are facts about tigers and is written in such a way that learning takes place in an easy, memorable way. The colourful pictures show the animal in its natural environment and thrill readers of all ages, making them instantly interested in learning more about the tiger. Wills effectively points out facts about the tiger including its habits and the food it eats. It is a quick read, but highly informative and would appeal to children of varying ages since the tiger is such a fascinating animal that is not seen in their everyday life.

HASH(0x9be660fc) out of 5 stars Very enjoyable Feb. 21 2013

I read this with my nephew, which is who I have read all of Michael Willis' books with. I think that this was his favorite because as a 7-year old boy, he really likes the idea of the powerful tiger and how strong they are. He enjoys the stripes a lot too, and it made him happy that there was a page about tiger stripes and how different they can be.

I personally enjoyed all the different types of tigers that were mentioned in the book. I don't think my cousin has seen the white tigers or the different baby ones, which he was happy and surprised to see.

Again, these books, just like all of Michael Willis' books, are perfect for younger kids to look at the pictures and for older kids to practice reading. It is a fun read and very enjoyable.

HASH(0x9c617cfc) out of 5 stars ANOTHER GREAT BOOK FROM MICHAEL WILLIS Feb. 25 2013
By Deborah Fochler - Published on Amazon.com

I have had the pleasure to purchase several of his books. My friends grandson loves to read on my kindle. It has been wonderful to have things he REALLY LIKES. These books are it. The photos are wonderful (even for adults) and all books are written with a tongue-in-cheek style that everyone gets a laugh out of. They have a wide appeal - from 2 year olds to adults well over 60. You can tell he has a wonderful sense of humor and the photos in all the books are outstanding. Some I wish I could frame and hang on my wall. I cant wait for the other books to be published. But this one was another hit out of the ballpark. Would recommend for anyone without hesitation.
