Product Description

Once upon a time there was Beauty and there was the Beast. The spinners of tales would have you believe these two fell in love and lived happily ever after.

The spinners lied!

The Beast was a shifter and Beauty became a huntress and founded a long line of huntresses aided by the power of silver magic.

Kieran Belle is a descendant of the House of Beauty and a tracker who longs to live a life free of killing shifters. Aided by his father he escapes to college in Little Rock, Arkansas where he meets the boy of his dreams, Corwin Cooper.

Corwin Cooper is a descendant of a clan of shifters, who has never shifted himself. Having finally decided to go to college, Corwin arrives and meets the mate his inner wolf cries out to claim for his own in Kieran Belle.

Ancient prophecy says Kieran is destined to become the legendary Silver Hunter. Dark forces seek to derail prophecy and end the House of Beauty. Can a child of the shifter-hunting House of Beauty and a descendant of shifters find love and happiness or will dark forces and opposing heritage tear them apart?

HASH(0x9deca75c) out of 5 stars Good editing would have earned this a 5-star rating. May 30 2015

Wow, this was an awesome start to what looks to be an outstanding epic fantasy romance. Kieran, of the bloodline of Beauty, and Cory, of the bloodline of Beast, are fated true mates. This is a problem that they will have to fight and suffer through. Their families are causing big problems especially since they have been warring each other for eons. At first thought, it seemed to be a new twist on Beauty & The Beast, but when you really look this seems more of a Romeo and Juliette story.I really loved the action and the battles against evil minions, evil relatives and the expectations of family traditions. I really enjoyed the twists about Beauty and the way her family story has changed through time. Loved it! As much as I loved this story, gave it a 4-star rating in spite of the serious deficit in editing. I hope when the next book in this series comes out that editing issue will be rectified. Although I'll probably read it anyway and flinch. This is my first read of Kethric Wilcox but will be looking for more from this talented story-teller.

HASH(0x9deca9a8) out of 5 stars Book Review by PizzyGirl Feb. 8 2015

Kethric Wilcox is a new to me and a new author. This is his first book and I have to say, it shows. He could benefit from the coaching of a seasoned author and could definitely use the services of a professional editor. I struggled sometimes to understand the writing because there was a great lack/misuse of punctuation.

However, I really enjoyed this twist on the legend of beauty and the beast. It was unique and not exactly what I was expecting. There was great world building and I love the different magical elements. I enjoyed the idea of trackers, huntresses, good shifters, and evil shifters. I really like that there was a bit of plot to keep me guessing. I was really pulled in. I liked that the villain remained off page as there is so much potential for this master to be developed. The ending left things set up nicely for book two without being a traditional cliff hanger. I am looking forward to more.

The relationship between Cory and Kieran felt a bit over the top perfect and sappy. The word choices used for descriptions were flowery and often times very feminine. This union felt forced because everything was always so perfect when they were together and there was so much talk of soul mates and love. It was more telling than showing, though there was some showing that was done well.

I purchased this one on a whim, but after reading it, I decided to write up a formal review because I think this author has great potential. This story was very creative and well thought out. With the help of a good editor/beta reader/seasoned author, I think this story could have been great and Mr. Wilcox could be very successful in the future.

HASH(0x9decabe8) out of 5 stars Romeo & Juliet Meets Beauty & The Beast: Two Great Classics Re-vamped! Feb. 14 2015
By E. Llewellyn - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
If you enjoy paranormal M/M romance ~ and I do mean ROMANCE, at its sweetest and darkest ~ you'll love *Tracker: Legend of the Silver Hunter* by debut author Kethric Wilcox.

Kieran Belle and Corwin Cooper are descendants of the Houses of Beauty and Beast respectively. This twist on the fairy-tale is both original and bold. Rather than simply make Belle and Cooper opposites, Wilcox makes them mortal enemies, born antagonists. And so the hunt begins ...

The lightness of the love relation is given weight and ballast by the conflict the author contrives between Good and Evil, between rival Houses, bloodlines, families, clans. Shades of the Capulets & the Montagues and the Hatfields & the McCoys abound. The suspense is heightened by the same trope proclaimed producer Val Lewton used to such eerie effect in his legendary black-and-white noir fim *Cat People*. In that pre-Technicolor 1942 war-time thriller, the Beast of Prey remained always unseen, always to one side, always off-camera. At most we heard it growl or saw its shadow flicker on the walls. We never once met the monster eye-to-eye, never once witnessed it pounce. Menaces unseen are always more terrifying than those seen; invisible footsteps tracking us in the darkness, through mist and fog, quicken the heartbeat, and are every mystery writer's favourite device. Likewise, Wilcox's bogeyman lurks just over our shoulder, but always out of sight. He simmers below the murk, boiling up out of the Id to horrify us with sheer, primordial terror, with evil unspeakable ...

In the end, we root for Kieran and Corwin as we root for Romeo and Juliet. Are they star-crossed lovers, or will they find a way to overcome the bitter blood feud that threatens their young love with an early grave? Will they bury the ancient lineal strife, or be buried by it?

That's for the spinners and weavers to say, not me. That's the question only Kethric Wilcox can answer. With this first book of what promises to be a rewarding series, he's off to a great start. I, for one, am looking forward to the rest of the story!

HASH(0x9decae64) out of 5 stars Loved this story April 23 2015

I was pleasantly surprised as to how much I enjoyed Tracker! I've never read a PNR romance before so I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting myself into. Multi colored mages, magical spells, deadly silver weapons, along with hunters and shifters combine with modern day college campus life for two young gay lovers. Kieran and Cory share a crazy life that includes the two of them worrying about finishing their final projects for the semester and heading up to Maine where Kieran can be tested to take on and destroy a pack of evil shifters! In doing so, he is insuring his rightful place as the head honcho of the House of Beauty. You know, all in a day's work!!! Colorful and vividly descriptive prose add to satisfy my mind's imagination. The story ends with the perfect set up for book two, which now I'm eagerly awaiting! The only suggestion I'd make would be to invest in a reputable editor as there were some sporadic grammatical errors. With that being said, I still wouldn't downgrade my rating because this book was such a mystical and magical delight. I truly feel that this story has all the makings of becoming an enchanting and well loved series! Nice job by new author Kethric Wilcox!!!!

I just have to commend Kethric Wilcox for doing the right thing and having this book edited!!!!! WHAT A DIFFERENCE! If anyone has had any doubts about reading Tracker because of grammatical errors mentioned in previous reviews, don't even give it a thought! This new and improved version is FABULOUS!!!!!! The second book in the series, WITCH, is perfectly written as well!!! Get those fingers one-clickin! You'll be happy that you did!

HASH(0x9decacfc) out of 5 stars What if a classic fairy tale was brought forward to the modern age and given a few wonderful twists? Enjoy...I did! July 11 2016

I received this book as a gift, and loved it so much I want others to find and enjoy it as well. The story is complex, as are the characters. It's well told, and while there are a few typos, they don't detract from the story. I don't give spoilers, so if you want more than what's in the description, I recommend you purchase it and read for yourself. It's a wonderful read, and I can't wait to finish the story with books 2 & 3...Thank you for a delightful afternoon, Kethric...I will be reading more!
