I think I have a new favorite children’s book!

I read The Travel Adventures of PJ Mouse by myself since I had to write the review, but I look forward to reading these with the kids – all three of them! I am certain all three will love them!

In The Travel Adventures of PJ Mouse in Canada starts with PJ being found by Emily after he became lost when he fell out of a little girl’s bag after she purchased him from the store.

After getting cleaned up, PJ gets to join Emily and her family on a road trip through Canada with their fifth wheel.

PJ goes on many adventures while on his trip and tend to find himself into some trouble spots, but with the imagination and quick thinking of the kids, they come up with brilliant ways to save the day!

The illustrations are my absolutely favorite part. They are hand drawn by the author’s daughter and they are just wonderful! They add so much character to the book.

The back of the book has a colorful map that is drawn of PJ’s Canadian adventure.

This is the first book in PJ’s adventures and was happy to have the second book so I could continue the journey.

This is a must have book for your littles!

This is a charming story that shows the world as it appears to a small girl and her pet stuffed mouse. In this case, the focus is a trip across Canada, where we're treated to several little adventures that the family shares. The book is highly educational and will teach children things that they're unlikely to learn elsewhere. In fact, it's likely that adults reading this book will learn a few things as well; I certainly did. The whole tone of the book is positive and gentle right down to its comforting pastel appearance. The illustrations are lovely and colorful, and children will take to PJ very quickly, with his darling look. It should be good for many reads, and it's nice to know that there will be a follow-up, so that kids can experience more stories with characters they're used to.

I like this book because it is very well illustrated, and has positive content. An excellent bedtime story book with engaging characters, that gives parents and kids something to discuss about the world we live in. It does have some big words in it, but I think I prefer that to so many kids book that have been "dumbed down". A witty little book. I especially like the conversations between the cat and PJ mouse. Fun!

In PJ Mouse's very first adventure we meet this delightful little stuffed animal, lost under a park bench. Fortunately, he is quickly found by young Emily who brings him along on family vacations.

PJ's first destination? A drive across Canada! From well-known attractions like Niagara Falls to the stunning Butchart Gardens, PJ Mouse zigzags through incredible Canadian scenery and even learns a few words of French in Quebec. With a knack for getting into dangerous predicaments, PJ Mouse gives children unique experiences in each place and often meets a native animal friend.

The Travel Adventures of PJ Mouse in Canada is a wonderful book to introduce children to the concept of travel, experiencing new places and meeting new people. The lovely illustrations are colorful and perfectly compliment the story. I really enjoyed the story and learning tidbits about Canada as I traveled along with PJ. The perfect gift for any child who plans to visit Canada.

Definitely recommended!

The Travel Adventures of P.J. Mouse begins in Book One in Canada. Forlorn and alone, P.J. cried for help. When all seemed in vain, a young girl, Emily, heard him. She discovered him and pleaded with her mother to let her keep him. The mother decided she could clean him up and allow Emily to keep him.
P.J. was not an ordinary mouse...He was unlike any mouse you have ever known (except maybe Mickey Mouse) He was but a small stuffed toy that talked. Emily could hear him and a few others too. Perhaps if you'd have known him, you could have heard him, too!
Join P.J.'s fresh new adventures to the Rocky Mountain glacier, Niagra Falls, Little Manitou, Quebec City and other Canadian place of interest as he travels with Emily and her family experiencing amazing adventures and making new friends.
This story is very educational in geography and more. Key words are emphasized, aiding the child in word association and vocabulary. This is a great chapter book for early readers. The watercolor illustrations by Megan Elizabeth are simple, yet effective.
The Title and Book Cover is clever, eye-catching and depicts the story well.
The only problem I have is the Characters seem slightly juvenile in comparison to the text.
Most children 5 to nine years of age will delight in this new series.

*I was sent this book in exchange for an honest review, of which I have given.

This is one of the best books for children that I’ve seen. It not only is a great story of a mouse who travels, it’s full of adventure and information on Canada. Emily finds PJ under a bench in the pouring rain. Her mother lets her take her home where they put PJ in the washer and dryer to clean him up. After his bath he feels so much better, even though he is a bit spinny headed.

The author tells the story through the perpective of PJ, who is a small mouse, so everything is bigger than it is for Emily and the other characters. On this trip, the family travels with a fifth wheel. They visit a lot of places including Niagara Falls. The authors daughter Megan’s illustrations are really cute and help you “see” the story.

This book would be a great gift for any child. It will not only give them a really cute story, it will take them on a trip where they will learn a bit about Canada.
