Disney presents a high-tech motion picture unlike anything you've ever seen in an astonishing 3D Combo Pack. Immerse yourself in the digital world of TRON, as celebrated actor Jeff Bridges stars in a revolutionary visual effects adventure beyond imagination. When Flynn, the world's greatest video game creator, sends out a secret signal from an amazing digital realm, his son discovers the clue and embarks on a personal journey to save his long-lost father. With the help of the fearless female warrior Quorra, father and son venture through an incredible cyber universe and wage the ultimate battle of good versus evil. Bring home an unrivaled entertainment experience with TRON: LEGACY in jaw-dropping Disney Blu-ray 3D.
The luminescent lines and shimmering surfaces of Tron: Legacy will tantalize anyone who's lusted after the latest smartphone. The long-ago disappearance of his computer-genius father has left Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund, Four Brothers) with existential ennui and a lot of money. When he discovers his father's secret workshop, he gets sucked into a computerized realm ruled by a megalomaniac computer program named Clu--who just happens to be his father's virtual doppelganger. To find his real father (Jeff Bridges, reprising his role from the original Tron, with a bit of his role from The Big Lebowski thrown in for kicks), Sam has to fight in gladiatorial games, drive in digital demolition derbies, and be stripped and dressed by slinky pneumatic babes. For all the techno-babble and quasi-philosophy the characters spout, this is a movie without an idea in its shiny head. It would be pointless to describe the many sillinesses because Tron: Legacy isn't actually trying to be smart; it's trying to look cool. It succeeds. Olivia Wilde (House) looks like the coolest action figure ever (if the entire movie could be nothing but the shot of her lounging on a futuristic sofa, it would be a masterpiece of avant-garde gizmo-fetishism). The facemasks are cool, the glowing skintight outfits are cool, the light-cycles are really, really cool--and let's be honest, it's all about the light-cycles. That's what the audience for Tron wants, and that's what Tron: Legacy delivers. --Bret Fetzer

The 4-disc package includes 3D Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray, DVD and digital discs. The Blu-Ray has plenty of special features to peruse. Rated PG
Hmm, where can I get me an isomorph girl?
During said cycle races, Sam is rescued by a girl Quorra (Olivia Wilde) in a Batmobile and is taken to see his real father. Quorra has the ability to wear her hair slanted to either the right of left (shades of Tina Majorino in Napoleon Dynamite!)
Like the first movie, the graphics are great (amazing what a little strip lighting will do) and the acting was bland as was the plot. The plot is at times metaphoric. The user, or program creator (humans) are gods. Sam is the son of god and is also a god. The programs want to revolt against the gods and take over their world. Meanwhile Jeff Bridges has discovered ummm, bio digital isos that will change the world. The plot is overwhelmed by the graphics.
The movie is more about Clu than Tron, but "Clu" movies seem to bomb.
The film is programed for the younger crowd.
Of course there has to be updates to the presentation in terms of graphics and complexity as it would be a tad hokey to try to limit us to the original costumes and terminology. But we still get the TRON thrill.
This is one of the best movies to justify the money you've invested in your 3D system, and the soundtrack by Daft Punk does similar work on your audio setup. It's visual and audio candy at it's finest!
Joseph Kosinski's vision of the Tron universe really shines, and the 3D makes this a must see.
This is one of the few movies that I can watch over and over again.
A must see for any sci-fi fan that loves a good story and amazing visuals.
