About the Author

Tim Rogers

Tim Rogers is a software engineer and student at the London School of Economics (LSE) and is from London, UK. He currently works at GoCardless, which is a payments start-up that helps businesses accept Direct Debit payments online. Here, he built the company's call center in the cloud, which is documented in a series of popular blog posts. He also works for a number of freelance clients, helping them use the power of Twilio to do things that range from getting reviews from hotel guests to building scalable customer support operations. In his spare time, he enjoys drinking coffee and serving in his local church and his university's Christian Union.

HASH(0x9d2fc0c0) out of 5 stars A jump start to using Twilio May 11 2015
By Deborah Sue St Clair - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
It is useful, especially in print. I got the print version after noticing that some boxes were truncated in the Kindle version.
The book may not have much more than the online documentation but I was having trouble getting 'jump started' on the online web of topics. This was helpful, but now I want more as there was not enough detail to fully satisfy me.
I'm just getting to understand a fraction of the power to Twilio.

HASH(0x9d8cdb1c) out of 5 stars The perfect book for those intrigued by the power of Twilio but unsure where to start. April 6 2015
By Alan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is a great book if you are intrigued with the powers of Twilio but don't know where to start. Since that describes me, the book was a perfect fit. Tim starts with some basic examples of SMS and telephony applications, and works into more advanced topics such as keeping your account secure and making sure that you authenticate requests properly. A great resource for the aspiring Twilio developer.
