Claire has written an amazingly honest account of her diagnosis, treatment and recovery from a non-malignant brain tumor. We join her journey on the day that her life changed forever. Throughout we are given an inspiring view of the bravery involved and the day-to-day struggles faced when dealing with this major health bombshell.
Whether you are suffering as Claire did, know someone who has a Colloid Cyst or just want to be inspired by a remarkable woman who overcame a brain tumor and all the changes it inflicted on her, this book is for you.
This is a 'carpe diem' life changing read.

I highly recommend this book. I have a family member who has a brain tumour and some chronic conditions that impact her life on a daily basis. This book was a wonderful inspiration and motivator to persevere and keep researching options as well as trusting your own intuition. It is well-written and was helpful for me in gaining a greater understanding of what it's like to be living with a brain tumour.

If you are easily distracted, this is not the book for you. A great easy read (despite some big medical words), that will immediately suck you in, leaving you rooting for its plucky heroine and too-good-to-be-true husband and wondering how her rare condition is finally sorted out-or if it is... A great book not only for those with a brain tumour or serious illness, but especially those with family or friends going through a brain tumour or serious illness who wonder what it is like from the inside and how they can offer support. Also interesting for anyone going through big life changes (graduation, marriage, baby, divorce, job transition) that do not go as expected, and struggling to find and enjoy their "new normal". Sometimes the mental battle is as challenging as the physical one/ actions...

This is a must read for anyone who has loved ones facing a difficult diagnosis of any kind or indeed for anyone reeling from any kind of life setback. Through her very personal story of a diagnosis of brain tumour and then the ordeal of brain surgery, And the long road to recovery, Claire learns lessons that can apply to us all. And maybe we will all be a bit more understanding of others on their journeys, medical or otherwise, when things seems to take too long or not go in a prescribed manner. Kudos to Claire for writing this honest depiction of struggle and the journey to a new normal.
