This is a short but informative guide on how different natural lighting situations will affect your photography. It is all basically summed up in the first sentence - "The first step to becoming a better photographer is to understand light." If you have spent any time experimenting in this area you will certainly agree with this declaration. I talk about this, but not in as much detail in A Quick & Easy Guide To Better Digital Photography as well. As the author points out, the type of light you are experiencing will influence your exposure settings. Thankfully, not only does she point out the problem, she offers solutions as well. There are also some very nice photographs illustrating the 8 types of light, and their final result.
The only negative was at the end of the book she mentions (what I was hoping for) a series of images of the same subject under the different lighting conditions for visual comparisons.
Unfortunately on my download I cannot find these photographs anywhere in the book.
A quick read, and a good starting place for new photography enthusiasts.
A good read.

I am somewhat new to photography and have learned a lot. I use my pictures for e-book covers and never knew about different types of natural light. This is a great book.
