Very simple and brief introduction, lack of any details, not much value. Maybe go to tripadvisor website is a better idea.

I agree, the Kindle version wasn't very user friendly & it read more like a dictionary of what's available out there. It was okay.

Kindle version is not friendly to use. You cannot go to the table of contents and go to the section that you want to read. You have to page through all the sections to find your place. You cannot zoom in on the page easily you double tap but you cannot pinch and expand. The content is good.

I would recommend you buy one in these in the series that is specific to your area. While I enjoyed checking out the east coast trips, chances are I'll never get out there.
Variety of "what to see and and do" and "where to stay". Good source of valuable info.

This product does include the requisite 7 trips but it is obviously an advertisement for various lonely planet products and is just a sampler.

HASH(0x9c455e40) out of 5 stars Amazing information on 7 great road trips in the USA July 4 2015
By Book Lover - Published on

Another great book by Lonely Planet. This book offers sample information from previous Lonely Planet books on seven of the best road trips in the USA. I am planning to visit Bryce and Zion national parks, there are maps, place to see, and hotels to visit along the way. Other trips are Michigan's Gold Coast, Miami's Highway 1, New York's Hudson Valley, Oregon's Highway 101, coastal New England and the Pacific Coast highways.
