NEVER any issues, its pretty decent looking if you install it in a visible place, and it has excellent range. I have parties reasonably often, and it has no issues with 50+ concurrent users. I've had a few LAN parties as well (old habits die hard), and we don't bother with cables anymore because wifi is so reliable.
Honestly, I didn't even know wifi COULD be this reliable, especially coming from Linksys/ORBI/Netgear/etc hardware.
The coverage is fantastic, and the best part is, I can add and remove APs as I want, both in and outdoor. It runs POE (although at 24V only... so don't plug this into a 48V switch) so there is only one ethernet cord to run (a power inserter is included). I just bought a second for the other "building" as this is absolutely great. 5 stars is an understatement.
I've read posts elsewhere of people complaining about its lack of features or ability to block sites, manage traffic, etc.... Buy a router if that's what you're looking for OR a Meraki MR18 for $650+yearly licence fees (which I'm replacing with this AP).
What I don't like is the software management application required to configure this product. For me, it's a bit old-school to have a software configuration tool actually installed on my computer. A web interface would have been far more convenient. With that said the software package is VERY easy to use for anyone, regardless of skill level which is why they probably use it...
Solid 4* - I can't recommend this enough!
I have since used them every chance I get, as they have zero-hand off, and are centrally configurable if you have multiples!
Easy-to-follow instructions; web interface is understandable if you have some basic knowledge of wireless networking - otherwise, get a tech-savvy friend to help you.
The only thing that I had an issue with was that the firmware needed to be updated to work properly with the controller - I had set it up initially with the latest controller and it was not broadcasting the SSID properly (I couldn't find it with my devices). Once I forced it to update the firmware, however, it started broadcasting immediately and I haven't had any problems since.
Great product overall, I am very happy with it.
