The gameplay is really fun and the controls generally work well. There is a lot of comedy included in the various types of missions undertaken, so full marks for that.
I loved some of the music - especially the funky Bhangra stuff accompanying the more psychedelic missions, and the 60s-retro Bhangra sounding music for some of the straight ahead massacre assignments. Towards the end, there is a James Bond quality to some of the music which felt out of place.
The one issue I found difficult was selecting and crafting the speciality syringes and occasionally I found it difficult to swap weapons using the touch pad on the control - it didn't seem to consistently make the swap. Also, some of the minor side missions which are included following each outpost liberation become a bit repetitive, but that's a minor quibble.
So I would definitely recommend this game.
Got this on sale for $20. Fantastic game, even if its full price. I should have got it sooner. Great graphics, fun gameplay, smooth controls, ok story/characters. The build your own map is as fun as ever letting you make some great explosive firing ranges, or even hunting missions! Vehicles are actually fun to drive this time around with plenty to choose from. Fantastic first person views with great camera bobbing/reactions.
Lots of content, loads of beatiful looking land to explore and plenty of things to keep you coming back again and again. If you want a first person, open world sandbox game look no further!
Anyway, the game is packed with content. But it feels samey. There's lots to do. But it's repetitive. The game's pretty, but you'll spend a lot of time looking at the ground for stuff.
The story kind of wavers and I found myself disengaging with the character at times . Not a big deal as I think most open world games are rather ambitious .
Overall a great and moderately challenging game
