I have collected a lot of movies with moral purpose and heartwarming values. The Ultimate Gift is a must see movie that has become our families favorite movie. I am purchasing additional copies to give my friends and family. In today's culture of greed where hard work and lack of quality workmanship is an antique reality, this movie is refreshing and a reminder to always do our best.

Well written but sometimes slow getting to the point film about one man's desire to teach his Grandson some of life's most important lessons using his last will and testament legacy. That the Grandson is initially living in a dream world where he gets whatever he wants through his socialite mother is a good contrast with the sequence of lessons he (reluctantly) goes through. The fim picks up pace with the entrance of a very ill child and ger mother. The child plays an excellent role and stimulates the film to new heights after her initial appearance at a funeral. The film title does not really give a good insight into experiential nature of the film and its content. I was recommended this film by a friend along with Amazing Grace and Return to Me. Together they make for a good set of films that are meaningful and contain subtle but memorable morality statements.

Outstanding, inspiring and an exceptional story written by a blind person! Have watched it several times after renting it from our local library. Finally, decided to purchase it and give it to my husband for Christmas who just loved it [usually watches a movie only once]. He's a retired minister and does locums and now includes mentioning the '12 Gifts' that are cleverly explored in the story in his sermons. It is a powerful movie, well-acted and directed. A must to see and to have so you can be like us and watch it several times. I can barely wait until Christmas so I can watch again.

I must admit that I didn't expect much from the movie, but even just a few minutes in, I became curious as to where it was going, and looked forward to watching more. Certainly not an all time favourite, but it was a nice movie to watch, I enjoyed it.

We've watched this movie several time over the past 3 years, and enjoy it immensely every time. The story line is so entertaining and enjoyable that it's only after several minutes into the movie that one realizes that this story is full of truths about what is really valuable in life. You might need a kleenex or two, as the outcome of the story often brings tears......good tears. A funny, feel-good movie that just might bring a shift to an attitude or two. Highly recommended.
