As a holistic nutritionist with a bustling practice I am always looking for great foundational texts to recommend to my clients to help them begin their journey to vibrant health and wellness. Since her first book, Undiet, was published it has been one of my go-to recommendations and the companion cookbook completes the set to provide the most absolute, easy-to-implement lifestyle changes required for long lasting health.

As soon as you open this book the beautiful photography, the amazing colours, and the sheer joy that radiates from every page will captivate you. You will likely also want to raid Meghan’s closet. Short review: Buy this book. Your waistline, brain, and taste buds will thank you for the rest of your days. The book is divided into three main sections: Introduction, Recipes, and Lifestyle. I have been following Meghan for a very long time and was lucky enough to attend some of her very first cooking classes back in 2009. I loved her first book, UnDiet, but the UnDiet Cookbook has very quickly become the quintessential cookbook for me.

The book itself is absolutely beautiful. As someone who relies a lot on blogs and Pinterest for recipes, I've come to be very visual when it comes to choosing recipes to make. The photography is stunning and the layout and design of the book makes it super easy to follow and visually appealing. I love Meghan's stories that lead into the recipes and there is great information about vibrant, UnDiet living as an introduction to the 130 recipes.

Gluten free, dairy free cooking doesn't need to use crazy fancy ingredients or complicated techniques. These recipes are simple. use easy-to-find ingredients and are very accessible for everyone. So far my favourites have been the Oatmazing muffins (which my gluten eating boyfriend declared to be his favourite muffin, as did another friend), Sweet Potato Hash Brizzles (awesome topped with poached eggs - they're also really delicious when reheated the next day) and the Chocolate, Chocolate Say it Twice Pancakes (Super easy, full of flavour and they don't taste "gluten free", just delicious)

I have stickies all over my book with recipes I can't wait to try and I'm looking forward to giving this book to friends this Christmas. This book is a must-have for anyone interested in gluten-free / dairy-free / whole foods based cooking and recipes!

I like this book for its colorful inspiration. The body care recipes (hair mask, toothpaste, etc.) in particular make me happy. I gave these out as gifts in a class I am teaching and honestly, as much as I enjoy the book, many of the recipes are a little beyond what many of my clients are ready for... but hopefully they'll get inspired to cook outside of their comfortable box after a while:)
