The game's biggest problem is pacing. Whether it's over-indulgence in climbing, gimmicky sliding mechanics, pushing a magical crate around, grappling on overly convenient ropes, or exploring mostly empty pseudo-open world levels, uncharted 4 drags more than any ND game before it. We all knew the game would go with TLoU's more story-driven approach because of Straley and Druckmann, but the slower parts of U4 make TLoU's slow parts seem comparatively exciting. This is only made worse by the fact that Uncharted is known for its explosive action and mimicry of the summer blockbuster; half the time though, you may as well be watching This Is 40. Some of these slow paced parts contain masterful storytelling, but others just give you surface banter and aimless walking and climbing. These sections, which eat up half the game and easily inflated my would-be playtime of 8 hours to a staggering 20 hours, become even more mundane on replays. Unlike the previous two Uncharteds and TLoU where I couldn't wait to start my fourth playthrough, U4 feels like a chore the second time around.
Anyone who says the game is perfect is either overlooking the huge pacing flaws or is still riding the hype train. And I don't blame them.Read more ›
I can't comment on the multiplayer aspect of Uncharted 4 as I have yet to play that (as I have only just finished the solo campaign) but from what I've heard plus the comments I've read here that discuss it, I expect it to be great as well!
Bottom line is I can't recommend Uncharted 4 high enough!
Please note that I haven't played the multiplayer and have no interest to play it. This is a spoiler free review.
There are some breath taking scenes in this game that really shows off the power of the PS4. You'll visit areas that explore different environmental themes that haven't yet been done in the Uncharted series. Each area holds its own graphically and feels unique to the series. The character animations are also brilliantly done.
As usual Naughty Dog delivered an unique story full of betrayal, love, and intrigue. It do start slow, but if you've played the previous games you'll be hooked from start to finish. Don't get me wrong, playing the previous games isn't a requirement to understanding the story here, but it is a plus as the games makes several remarks about Nathan's previous adventures.
Voice Acting: 10/10
Not much to say here. Perfect performance.
I experienced one instance where it appeared I was hanging from nothing while climbing a cliff but the game fixed itself in a second. For a game that is this graphically impressive to only have one very small thing to mention after a single play through is huge and really shows off the quality of work Naughty Dog has done here.
It's exactly what you'd expect from this genre. However, there is much more freedom here when compared to other games of this genre. Sometimes providing multiple ways to get from point A to B while also occasionally providing different conversation options. Though these options won't effect the outcome of the game they do succeed in making the game fresh.Read more ›

The perfect conclusion to one of the great videogame saga.Published 6 days ago by Jean-Philippe Bouchard
Getting my copy in a few days. I expect it will be great. Just wasn't willing to spend $80 plus tax on one game. $20 off as of 7/19 is much more reasonable.Published 9 days ago by NBA

I only played Uncharted 2 if I remember correctly and didn't feel like I missed something in the story.
