Product Description

Five years ago, Embry Jacobs ran...

She ran from a past that still hasn’t let her go, but her dream of becoming a lawyer is stronger than her fear of confronting that past. Embry’s sole focus is to get through law school—with the help of her best friend, Morgan—and make something of the broken girl she became. Not thinking about falling in love, being in a relationship or even entertaining the idea of romance, Embry is moving forward one day at a time.

Luke Brody is charming and sexy, and has a past of his own. He wants nothing more than to put his demons to rest and move on with his life. But, when Embry enters the picture, is he destined to repeat those same mistakes?

Blindsided by their instant attraction, neither Luke nor Embry are prepared for the feelings they’re developing. But will it all be for nothing?

Will they let their pasts destroy them, or will they risk everything to fight for their relationship when it all comes undone?

As soon as you flip the very first page, the book will peak your interest. Two people destined to be together - but cannot be together. Will they lay everything that they worked so hard to get, just to be together? Great Novel! Couldn't put it down

3.0 out of 5 stars Oh the frustrations! March 22 2016
By ShannonVM - Published on

This book, or should I say characters, were so maddening to me...I’m glad I participated in the read-along/group read so I was able to vent my frustrations each night!

Embry has just moved back to NY, after leaving right after high school to escape an abusive relationship- one that only her best friend knew about. She’s started her first day of law school when she catches the eye of a handsome stranger as they’re walking down the hall. There’s an immediate and deep pull between the 2…we’re talking a major case of insta-lust from both parties.

Even with Embry’s history, and reluctance to let another man get close to her, she finds herself falling for Luke. But not all is what it seems with our southern hottie, and before they know it trouble is brewing. And this is where my frustration lies…if Luke had been completely truthful and open from the beginning so much of the unnecessary drama could have been avoided. I wanted to bash the two of their heads together at certain points. I was upset with Luke with the secrets he was keeping, but then Embry would tick me off with the back and forth games she was playing with him. Gah, the 2 of them!

And oh God, the ending! Talk about another plot twist thrown in there. Although there were clues along the way that hinted at something like this, for it to come out the way it did was a little surprising. Yes, I’ll be jumping right into book 2!

4.0 out of 5 stars Undone is beautifully written debut novel that I enjoyed immensely. June 18 2014

WOW! Undone turned out being a pretty good read! I had no idea what to expect going into it. Honestly, I don't even remember buying the book. I just saw it on my kindle, opened it up AND. DID. NOT. STOP. reading until I was completely finish! I literally sat in one spot, glued to my kindle the entire time.

Undone happens to be a teacher/student romance story. MY FAVORITE! I had no idea! Maybe at one point I did, but I must have forgot. What makes this story stand out, and why I liked it so much is a few things...

*Not only is the plot very well developed, but R.E. Hunter did a great job with all of the characters, including the side ones. That seems to be a hard thing to accomplish with this theme, in my opinion. I liked being inside the classroom, seeing the amount school work, watching the budding friendships and trying to balance it all. It felt realistic to me.

*The author gave time to develop an actual relationship before finding out about the professor part. That's another thing that tends to be difficult with this theme for some reason. Hell, I was totally invested in the story and that part hit me. Talk about surprise! After it was discovered, the characters had to find a happy medium and work to keep it professional. HUGE points in my book! Why do authors have the lust induced relationship in the first few pages? I cannot stand that.

*There was no jumping into sex in the first chapter. I. Love. That. It wasn't early on either like many student/teacher books I've read. Extra points in my book! The chemistry burns right off the pages and I was secretly hoping (DYING) for it to happen sooner, but I am super happy it didn't. The tension bubbles until they finally snap, and it's hot!

I'm a Gators girl, and I LOVED the Dawgs/Gator banter in this book! It was so much fun to read! The side characters...Jeremy...the the ending... OMG! Highly recommend this book!

All in all, Undone is beautifully written debut novel that I enjoyed immensely. I can't wait to read the next one!

3.0 out of 5 stars Delicious July 20 2016
By Amazon Customer - Published on

This book could have been better than it was. The premise to the story was good, but I can't help but think that there wasn't an editor involved. There were a few unfinished sentences and grammar mistakes. Also, the overuse of the word delicious was completely ridiculous. Here are some alternatives that should have been used: appetizing, delectable, delightful, distinctive, enjoyable, enticing, exquisite, heavenly, luscious, pleasant, rich, savory, tasty, tempting, yummy, divine, lush, gratifying, mouthwatering, scrumptious, titillating. Any time one these words could have been used, delicious was used instead. It got to the point that I would start laughing when I came across the word. If I was a drinker, this would make an excellent drinking game. The players would be aroused and drunk.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfection but a cliffhanger July 20 2014
By Jennifer Van Wyk - Published on

R.E. Hunter's debut novel, Undone, hardly feels like that of a new author. Rather, Hunter's ability to create such beautiful and likable characters with such depth that you feel like you truly know the characters and feel what they're feeling is a wonderful thing.

Embry and Luke have a chance run in but as with most romance stories there's that crazy insta-attraction that neither can deny. Unfortunately there's a few rather large obstacles in their way creating a forbidden romance that neither Embry (how cool is her name?) nor Luke find the desire to ignore.

Their love and care for each other is both sweet, sexy and incredibly steamy. While this book does end in a major cliffhanger, I commend Ms Hunter on a fantastic story that I can't wait to see the end of!
