Seek the truth and you will find justice.

The peaceful town of Harmony Falls, Texas, has been rocked to its core by an unspeakable crime.

One that harbors revenge and injustice.

Schoolteacher Olivia Bradshaw can’t remember what happened that horrific night, but it’s easy to see the effect it’s had on those around her. All she wants is for peace to be restored to her beloved hometown, but Deputy Grayson Taylor is on a different mission. He seeks truth and justice, and he’ll do whatever it takes to find both for Olivia.

Lines will be crossed.

Secrets revealed.

Can justice prevail, or will the citizens of Harmony Falls succumb to the corruption and hate that continues to plague their small town?

K.C. Lynn and K. Langston have teamed up to bring you a story about hate, race, corruption, injustice, and above all, love. A story that may change the way you view the world.

The profound and emotional impact this novel had on me left me extremely disturbed. Apart from questioning my own incredulity, I needed facts to back up what I had read. Is it possible that there's still the slightest trace of this kind of xenophobia in today's western society, because I honestly thought this irrational infirmity been eradicated. When I finished reading, and after shedding many tears, I needed to talk to somebody about it. I needed opinions and someone who could help me process my feeling. My husband highlighted some harsh truths; my devastation being ten-fold made me come down to earth with a big thump. Nevertheless, one must not forget this is a story.

Just before the end, I was chatting online with my buddy reader-cum-sister-in arms and these were our very words which I would like to share with you.
“What you reading?”
“Unlawful Justice. It's like watching a movie. So much flow, so much character development. The plot is very different. Full of twists and turns and the editing is perfect. Nearly eighty percent in and not one mistake.”

Never a true word said. I couldn't find fault. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a grammar monster. But apart from that, I look for consistency, reason and I need to connect to the protagonists. And oh boy, did I connect! The heroine has such a wonderful personality. She is the sweetest most open-minded person I have yet to meet in a book! Olivia Bradshaw is a dedicated English literature teacher in a conflictive school in a quiet town in Texas. Her students love her, she loves them. Events take place causing a snowball effect and her world comes tumbling down. But she's strong, incredibly forgiving, and what impressed me more was that her pain always took second place.

"Hate isn’t something you’re born with, it’s taught."
KC Lynn and K. Langston have ventured into a book world that is different than what I'm used to reading and they've pulled it off beautifully.
Unlawful justice is an amazing story about how the ties that bind us are always being tugged and tested even if it's beneath the surface.
And what lies beneath can be dangerous, scary and shocking.
KC and K show us how a simple act of self-defense can be a catalyst that impacts the lives of so many.
Impacting and changing them forever.
Relationships will be strained, friendships tested but in the end justice just might prevail.

“Well then, I choose peace.” My breath hitches as I try to hold back my tears. “I choose love, not hate.”

Race, friendships, careers, safety, retaliation, retribution, love, hate and everything in between is put on the line as a town fights to rise above the battle lines that have been drawn by an act which effects have spiraled out of control affecting everything in its wake.
How do you overcome the ugliness of racism, injustice and hatred?
KC Lynn and K. Langston not only weaved the emotional tale that answers these questions, but they teach us an important lesson, one I'll not soon forget...

Despite the deep seeded issues of racial tensions and emotional upheaval we also get a love story because after all we all need a bit of sunshine when faced with such important social issues.

Meet Grayson and Liv. Simply put I adored them. Everything about their union made me smile. I loved how protective and determined Gray was and how resilient and determined to fight and overcome Liv was.

I highly recommend this book

Unlawful Justice by K.C.Lynn & K.Langston

This is not the book one can start after a night shift and read a few pages and expect to go right to sleep. This is not the book that will take forever to read. This is not the book you can put down for a lengthy period of time. This is not the book one can predict what's going to happen. This is not the book one can only give a 5 star rating.

Because 5 stars is not nearly enough.

This book blew me away. It grabbed my undivided attention from page one to the very last page and I wished it would still go on. It stripped me bare and moved me emotionally. There will be so many twists and turns that none of them you will see coming.

Olivia is a school teacher who's devotion to her students is exceptional. She's smart, shy and sweet but sassy. She as a big heart and forgives easily. She believes in second chances. Then Olivia suffers through one of the worst crimes imaginable where not many people could come out of it un scattered. She is a strong survivor and fighter. She never gave in to her fears and backed down. I admire a character (person) that is optimistic, goes for what they want, do not victimize themselves and that they can find some positive in a bad situation. Olivia was all that and much more.

" Seek the truth and you will find Justice"

Grayson, "Swoon" a police officer who believes in justice and equal rights. Alpha male all the way and of course every woman's fantasy. He will fight until the end to right the wrongs that were done to Olivia. He loves, protects and respects her. Together they will be strong and prevail and come out victorious. These are very intense and powerful characters.
