I've been to both Disney parks in the USA several times, but this was my first taking children and I was nervous about what to expect. This book is excellent because it is not a Disney product. It is written by travel writers that are not on Disney's payroll and take no kick backs from the parks. They are brutally honest, give great tips about the area and cover EVERY aspect of your trip. I highly reccomend this no matter how many times you've been to Disneyland.

This was a fantastic book. We went during the Easter break which is one of the busiest times of the year and followed the day plan from the book. We were able to get on all the big popular rides with literally no line ups. It also had a small section and day plan for universal as well. I think having this definitely helped make our trip run smoothly without wasting time in lines.

My husband and I go to Disneyland 2-3 times a year and figured why not see if we can learn something. There are some really cool tips about things you would never normally think of (like which gate is best to line up at or which rides to hit first). Fun read and useful!

HASH(0x9a74a2dc) out of 5 stars Save Time and Money at Disneyland Nov. 13 2011

In keeping with the other books in the "Unofficial Guide to Disney" series, this book is packed with detailed, objective reviews of the parks, restaurants, and hotels/resorts -- both on property and off property. While this book is an indispensible planning tool, its greatest value is in providing a set of park-proven, scientifically-developed touring plans that minimize time spent waiting in line so you can enjoy your vacation. This book is a must have for anyone planning a trip to Disneyland.

HASH(0x9a74a594) out of 5 stars If you are going for 2 days or less and during busy season, get this book, otherwise pass on it.... Jan. 27 2012

If you are a first time Disneyland visitor and have are staying for less than 3 days and going during the busy season, then get this book, otherwise, save your money.

I bought this book for a trip my family took to Disneyland just this past week. We stayed for 4 days and it is their slow season, so this book was really not that helpful for us other than giving us a good overview of the rides and helped us find good places to eat.

It is really geared for those of you who are going for 2 to 3 days during the busy season. It has great park plans on how to get the most out of each park and how to make the most of your time and for those of you who are really into following a schedule.

It says it has insider tips on how to save money, yet I really don't agree with this. A little "online" research can do the trick too.

One thing that kind of bothered me about this book was it tries to get you to subscribe to their website to get up to the minute "wait times" on each ride....It wasn't expensive, but really, I just bought the book, now you want me to pay more for more info. No thanks.

HASH(0x9a74a5f4) out of 5 stars Excellent! April 26 2012

I went for a girls trip, no kids or hubby, one day in Disneyland (Friday) and one (Saturday) in California Adventure. We followed the majority of plan for Adults with no children, for each park on both days or used it as a guideline. We went on all of our favorite rides twice! We saw every show and parade. We literally had 2 perfect days. The parks were packed by the afternoon, but we had fastpasses to use by then! The author gives great tips all the way through the book and outlines different scenerios. My friend that has two little children recommended it to me, because it worked so well for her family. I highly recommend to anyone going To Disneyland, spend the $10 on this book! Well worth it!
