1.0 out of 5 stars Beware - light leaks!
By OzCan83 on March 2, 2019
Expected a bit more based on the reviews. The fabric is thinner than I’ve seen on other tents which wouldn’t necessarily be a big problem but I have a bunch of pinhole light leaks from my tent where the fabric was folded in the packaging.
Worse still, I have some pretty major light leaks around the front zipper (see picture) and around one of the top ducts. There was also no draw string clasps on four of the ducts.
I will have this tent in a space that will be dark anyway so the light leaks aren’t worth sending this back for me, but if you’re looking to put one of these in a room that gets light during your “dark” period, you may want to look into a brand with better quality control.
Considering I bought several Vivosun pieces for this tent, I’m questioning the quality of those pieces too...

4.0 out of 5 stars Frustrating
By Tyson on November 19, 2018
Once the tent is complete and put together its great. Quality is OK for the price and everything fits. There is no light leaks or broken seams. BUT..... what a pain in the A$$ to put together. If it helps someone I spread the tent out and started to assemble from the inside-bottom to top. We figured this out after an hour of doing it the way they wanted. All in all I would suggest you buy this tent. only 4 stars due to the lighter then it looked online metal frame.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sure some hassles arose like building the frame and then placing the actual tent ...
By ken on April 22, 2018
This had to be the easiest thing to set up by far. Sure some hassles arose like building the frame and then placing the actual tent on top. A little trick I found because I was all by myself building this in a small compact ten by ten room. All I did was spread the tent out first, and took the top and bottom square framed bars and built inside the tent. Once the shape was created, all you had to do was install the longer bars parallel to each side. Then exit the tent, clean the inside with supplies if you were barefoot like I was, and finally tilt the tent upwards back on its bottom from being face down.
The picture shows that even with 11 inches of space, you can still build in the rooom no problem.

1.0 out of 5 stars Zipper broke after 3 weeks .. NO customer service
By Matt Douglas on June 6, 2020
I had high Hope's... the zippers are heavy duty.. or I thought .. broke after the first 3 weeks ... and by that time I had it full of plants .. so i asked for one to be sent .. then i can put my flowers in it .. then return this one ... no response .. no customer service ... not happy .. I have to re tape the broken zipper every day .. so either return it and pray my plants dont die .. or just buy rolls of tape and suck it up

1.0 out of 5 stars Tent Fell, Injured Me and Destroyed Crops
Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2020
This tent seemed great for the price, but don't be tempted by it. This is the second vivosun tent I've owned that broke before getting a single crop. Vivosun products apparently used to be good, but ever since what I assume are manufacturing cost cuts I wouldn't say they are good enough to even be called a single use item since I can't seem to get one use out of any of my tents from them.

Here's a lengthy story of how this particular tent injured me, destroyed my crops, and almost destroyed $500 in lights.

I mounted a ~10lb LED light on each of the mount bars, a ~10lb carbon filter across one of the bars, and had a few clipped on fans less than 5lb on 2 of the vertical poles. After wiring and cabling, and fan ducting (the heavy inline fan wasnt even supported by the tent, it was laying on a shelf nearby and seperate from the tent to avoid stressing the poles with too much load!), it was probably supporting less than 50lbs.

After a few weeks of regular use opening the door and stepping inside to reach the back of the tent, I took a step inside to reach the back to pour water. As I reached in, I was pounded in the head as the top of my tent came crashing down while I was inside. It crushed like a beer can, exactly like another recent review described. I fell down when my lights knocked me in the head and I trampled and killed all of my plants, spilling dirt, water, and blood from the gash in my head where the light hit me all over the tent.

After tending to myself, I investigated the issue to find that the weld of the corner piece had broken clean apart, right at weld. The attrocious welding job left lots of holes where I assume moisture got into, and since the poles are only spray coated on the outside it probably rusted. For perspective the relative humidity inside this tent never exceeded 65%. I took a look at some of the welding work on the other corners and found that not a single one of them had a good weld, it was shoddy work at best.

In summary, the materials of this tent are nothing to brag about. The welding work is pathetic, the mylar is thick and reflective but it is definitely not light proof because light leaks at almost every stitching point along the zippers, seams, duct port venting holes, tent floor, corner stitches, you name it. There is no such thing as a light proof tent in my opinion, but it shouldn't take half a roll of duct tape to cover all the light holes after unboxing. This tent also doesn't have a single 6" vent port. The viewing window is very small and way too high up, I'm 5'11" and couldn't see in even if I was on my tip toes. The welds were so bad, that it couldn't even support 50lbs on top after a month of use.

There is no load capacity listed anywhere for this tent, probably because if they even bothered to load test it they would find that it crumples up like a beer can as I and another recent customer described. The flimsy construction makes me wonder if the subscribe and save advertisement for this product is any coincidence. I expected this product to last for at least a year, but couldn't even get a month out of it. It's absolutely shameful for a product with such great reviews from other people and this high of a rating.

Between the money I gave to vivosun for this tent and the other which also broke, I could of probably bought a more expensive tent that wouldn't of ruined a set of crops, lacerated my head, and almost destroyed $500 in lights. If you're looking for something high quality, stay away from this tent and probably even similar brands, and if you're looking for something cheaper and more disposable then I sincerely hope that this takes you through to one harvest and that your experience with it or whatever you end up choosing is better than mine was.

4.0 out of 5 stars Everything is quality......... Except for the viewing window.......
Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2016
• Pros: The tent construction is very good, super thick material, the inside is very reflective, assembly only took about 10 min, love the quality zippers and seals light from the outside very well.
• Cons: The visibility through the viewing window is extremely distorted; it appears the clear plastic material that the window is made from was damaged during fabrication, likely due to coming in contact with high heat. I can’t read my thermometer/humidity monitor through the window, even though it’s only 3ft away and has a large digital display.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good tent
Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2019
I initially had problems with the zippers on this tent getting stuck but contacted Vivosun and they helped me out. They have the best Customer Service! Material is a bit lightweight compared to my other tents, but I haven't had any problems with it. It reflects well. It was a LOT easier to put together than my Apollo tent which surprised me. The bars support all my lights, fans, filter, etc. The window you can see through, but it's a bit too high for me without a step stool lol. But it's nice to be able to peek in real quick to check on stuff. I gotta give 5 stars even though I had zipper issues because Customer Service really made up for it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Complete garbage. Cheap material. Poor craftsmanship.

Honestly thought this tent was great if had it for 4 weeks used and the main zipper broke. The zipper train was always super rough in several spot and I'm so mad now that my plants are dieting I can f****keep the humidity or temp or airflow correct! The only way I'd even think "Vivosun" is if they personal reimburse my money 2 times over and give me a replacement or at minimum multiple cause I know there's multiple friends of mine that said these were garbage but I tried it for myself. And because so far I've lost $125 for grow tent, $120 in seeds/veg and now my equipment is working for no reason.. ok now off but... what a good blank hassel of a company if they don't stand by their work!!! I'm pissed. Unless I make up for $300 in product I am keeping and multi reviewing so everyone as growers don't run into this issue any more. I still have yet to been contacted. This company will literally have to go out of their way to get customers back because unless customer service has maybe any significance I will and my friend decided to also make reviews upon my conclusion (which i think is funny because they were afraid to badly rate a company) but I'm not and they had the same issues! TO ALL OTHER CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF BUYING UNTIL I RESPONDABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE I WOULD NOT TRUST OR BUY THIS AGAIN UNLESS SOME THING BENEFICIAL HAPPENS AND I CAN SEE THEY STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT OR THEY SHOW ME THEY CARE.THANKS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY UNLIKE MINE.... UPDATE: HLAF WAY TRYING TO DUCT TAPE THIS GARBAGE TENT MANUFACTURED BY VIVOSUN! ONLY ANOTHER...$4.20 MORE TO COMPLETELY SEAL IT BUT PROBLEM AFTER THAT I CANT GET IN AND FLOOR LEVEL ANYMORE. LISTEN IM ABSOLUTEKY BS THAT AS A PERSON WHO HAS BOUGH WAY CHEAPER NON VIVOSUN KNOCKOFFS, I DONT EVEN HAVE ANY ISSUES YET! LIKE WTF DO NOT BUY THIS EVEN AFTER READING GOOD REVIEWS. I DIDNT MAKE A INNITIAL REVIEW ON PURPOSE...I WAITED... GUESS WHAT DIDNT LAST A FULL MONTH SET UP. NOW PLANTS ARE DIEING AND EVETUALLY WILL DIE UNLESS I SPEND MORE MORE MONEY ON A CHEAPER VERSION THATS HIGHER QUAILITY THEN THIS OVER PRICED POS! HOWS THAT FOR A STRAIGHT HONEST REVIEW!
