Product Description

I’ve finally got what I want.

Rafe Mason loves me.
He’s forgiven me.
Survived for me.
Killed for me.

But is it enough?

His darkness owns me.
Consumes me.
Bends me.
Heals me.

Loving him shouldn’t be this hard.

NOTE TO READERS: VAGRANT is a new adult dark romance with disturbing themes and explicit content, including sexual scenes and violence that may offend some. Intended for mature audiences. Part 4 of the CONDEMNED series.

About the Author

Gemma James is a USA Today and Amazon bestselling author of a blend of genres, from new adult suspense to dark erotic romance. She loves to explore the darker side of human nature in her fiction, and she’s morbidly curious about anything dark and edgy, from deviant sex to serial killers. Readers have described her stories as being “not for the faint of heart.”

She warns you to heed their words! Her playground isn’t full of rainbows and kittens, though she likes both. She lives in Oregon with her husband and their four children–three rambunctious UFC/wrestling-loving boys and one girl who steals everyone’s attention.

I haven't read anything by this author until now and I 'm happy I was asked to read it for an honest review .Vagrant is the fourth and finial book in the Condemned Series and what a shame . As I was reading about Rafe and Alex and their relationship and what their feelings and what was going with them was making me a little frustrated that I wanted to bitch slap both of them and tell them get yourself together and fix this up. You will fine that some parts are a little dark and some twisted things that happened. Sometimes their choices that they made had me questioning if they were crazy or what? When you will say wow reality finely hit them .I found that the emotions ran through me from this book one minute I felt like I wanted to cry and then the minute I was laughing at them . I liked how Gemma James writes you characters that their pour off the pages at you and how strong they are .And how the emotional feelings she writes in her story's is like living the story with her characters, I totally recommend you read this whole series for yourself because you won't b disappointed. I 'm just sorry there won't be any more .Can't wait until your next book

I couldn't finish this book. The female lead is weak, she is so damaged that it is hard to read what she allows to happen to her. The things the characters engage in is disgusting and sick. This is not love. I have two teenaged daughters who I hope never read this. If you want a distorted image of love and relationships then this is your book. I read romance and erotica and this goes way beyond my boundaries. I would never let another individual treat me the way Rafe treats Alex. The first books were not as extreme as this one.

HASH(0x9b2325c4) out of 5 stars Can I have amnesia Rafe back? PLEASE? Sept. 15 2015
By Sarah - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Vagrant picks up six months after Fervent ended, and Rafe is back to claim Alex once and for all.

If I’m to be completely honest, I was expecting a lot more from the final book in the Series. I had enjoyed everything, for the most part, up to this point. I was thrilled that Rafe got his memories back at the end of the last book, but if I would have known what to expect because of it then I would have been singing a different tune.

Rafe always had dark desires. He was always controlling. But I felt that he took EVERYTHING to the extreme here and I missed the Rafe that had amnesia. He claimed to love Alex, but I couldn’t see it. Not really. Toward the end there were some moments of connecting, but everything else he did made me feel like she was a thing, and not a person. And with as much as she had been through, I was hoping to see him change just a little. Not get worse.

Alex, on the other hand, grew a lot in the six months apart. She had more of a backbone. Was more defiant. And there were a few scenes that made me so damn proud of her. I just wish she was strong enough to let go of Rafe. I’m telling you, this book really made me not like him.

In the end, I’d have to give Vagrant 3 stars. For this being the end of the series, I sure was left with a lot of questions. Primarily what happened to Jax? Did he take care of their problem, or do Rafe and Alex still have people searching for them? I felt that these questions should have been answered before closing the story. It was a quick read, and I did enjoy parts of it. But other parts left me feeling a bit … empty.

HASH(0x9b232618) out of 5 stars A DEFINITE MUST-READ!!! Sept. 15 2015

I absolutely loved this book! Vagrant is a story of two broken people searching for the impossible... love. Gemma James has given her readers what they want and so much more. There's an awesome mix of emotions... angst, heartbreak, need, want, pain, turmoil, lust, and love. Vagrant is intense, painful, raw, gritty, heartbreaking, dark, emotional, captivating... it was everything! If you are a fan of dark romance with graphic violence, sex, explicit language, the Condemned series is for you.

This was not the conclusion that I expected. Lot of questions unanswered. It felt like Rafe treated Alex as a possession then someone he truly loved. After all the trauma she has been through she still loves her brother Zach enough to let him go and tells him to stay away and he does ? If it was that simple why going through all this crisis. Seriously !!! Rafe and Alex move on and what just exist ? No conclusion. I really am dissapointed!

HASH(0x9beb5558) out of 5 stars MUST READ FANTASTIC SERIES Sept. 19 2015
By Donna Briody Buccella - Published on Amazon.com

Im hoping Rafe and Alex finally find peace. This was a dark, twisted, taboo, sick, disturbing, cruel, shameful, mind twisting emotional journey, but it was also filled with forgiveness, redemption, releasing the past, trying to move forward, soulmates, and pure unconditional kinky sadistic love....
This was an AMAZING SERIES!!!!!! Thank you for taking me along with you on this crazy ride..

HASH(0x9b3419fc) out of 5 stars Disappointing Sept. 29 2015
By Kim BookJunkie - Published on Amazon.com

3.5 stars. What a let down......
After giving each of the first 3 books and the Condemned Series 5 star ratings and absolutely loving them, I was VERY eager to get my hands on this book, buying it the week it was released. I had enjoyed the other books in this series so much that I decided to go back and reread books 2 & 3 just to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything before I read this one, book #4. I don't regret rereading Rampant and Fervent since they were just as good the second time through. However, I now wonder if rereading those books made me even more hopeful about Vagrant, causing me to expect too much from this 4th & possibly final installment in this intense series? Like Torrent, Rampant and Fervent, Vagrant has several jaw dropping scenes and each book had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails on more than one occasion. However, I felt that the ending of Vagrant was really anti-climactic. The majority of Vagrant was great, just as creative, jaw dropping, shocking and hot as hell has the books before it yet the ending really disappointed me. I actually wonder if Ms. James was tired of the series and wanted to put an end to it? She could have gone much deeper and fleshed out several portions of Vagrant, especially the finale.

For me, the Condemned series was like going on an awesome roller coaster ride. As the ride comes to an end, the cart starts up the final hill. The last hill is the biggest hill of them all and you're sure there's going to be a vomit-inducing drop after your cart reaches the top. Once your cart finally reaches the top of that hill, you are shocked to find that there is NO drop! You are back where you started the ride, it's time to get off, the ride is over! There is no outlet to release all of the anticipation and excitement that had built up inside of you as you prepared for that final drop. You feel very disappointed.
