MOON DANCE (Vampire for Hire #1)

Six years ago federal agent Samantha Moon was the perfect wife and mother, your typical soccer mom with the minivan and suburban home. Then the unthinkable happens, an attack that changes her life forever. And forever is a very long time for a vampire. Now the world at large thinks Samantha has developed a rare skin disease, a disease which forces her to quit her day job and stay out of the light of the sun. Now working the night shift as a private investigator, Samantha is hired by Kingsley Fulcrum to investigate the murder attempt on his life, a horrific scene captured on TV and seen around the country. But as the case unfolds, Samantha discovers Kingsley isn't exactly what he appears to be; after all, there is a reason why he survived five shots to the head.

VAMPIRE MOON (Vampire for Hire #2)

Sequel to Moon Dance, private investigator Samantha Moon finds herself hunting down a powerful crime lord and protecting an innocent woman from her ruthless ex-husband—all while two very different men vie for her heart. And as the stakes grow higher and her cases turn personal, Samantha Moon will do whatever it takes to protect the innocent and bring two cold-blooded killers to justice—her own brand of justice.

HASH(0x9a9141b0) out of 5 stars Great Series! Great Price! Dec 29 2010
By Dinnerandamurder - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This is one great series. I wish I had found this set in one volume before purchasing the singles.

Samantha is a mother with one awful husband. The things he does to her made me cry, but cheer when she finally took back her life. She was attacked 6 years ago and was forced to quit her FBI gig to become a P.I. She is completely clueless that she should be a predator and killer. Instead she works to protect and help others, all with with a great sarcastic wit. She is a tough cookie that everyone (except the evil ex) can't help but love and respect. Read this series and you will become a Sam admirer yourself!

HASH(0x9a914204) out of 5 stars Different twist on becoming a vampire in modern times Feb. 19 2011
By Sans - Published on Amazon.com

Loved this modern vampire fantasy, a strong career minded woman dealing with an horrendous life changing event on her own terms.

Character development was great, with totally believable family dynamics and an interesting plot - all coming together in an easy to read style of writing.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book from this author!

HASH(0x9a9144e0) out of 5 stars Kinda fun Aug. 31 2013

If your looking for Twilight this is not it-Thank God for that! I do like the main character Samantha Moon but sometimes the author makes her just a little too dumb! I wanna reach through my Kindle and slap her! The 1st book was a free purchase and the 2nd was only .99 cents so I didn't invest alot of money into these. I am now debating on buying the 3rd book, I want to know how it ends, but just not sure if it's worth $4.00

HASH(0x9a9143d8) out of 5 stars A great read April 2 2011
By Robbielou - Published on Amazon.com

I'm laid up with a knee injury, so I'm reading... A LOT. I found this series and it's great.... At the end of #2, it said #3 is coming out this month! Hey, it's April and I'm waiting.

He has really good characterizations and situations for Sam and her friends... I just love it. And wow, cannot WAIT for her Ex to get what's coming to him.

HASH(0x9a914a14) out of 5 stars Vampire for Hire book 1/2 Sept. 11 2013

Moon Dance / Vampire Moon : J R RAIN: really loved these 2 books in 1 deal for my Kindle fire. The story about a couple with 2 children seems happily married at the time. Samantha Moon is an FBI agent, a mom, in the prime of her life with a big time problem! She was bit by a Vampire and these books are about her new life of trying to adapt to being a MONSTER/Vampire Mother and wife. Loved everything about the story.
Would have given it a 5 star except for I hate cliff hangers. If you love the book 1 and then read the next one I am sure you are going to follow through and read the series? But NO, J.R. Rain seems to like not to end his books as other authors and in order to really know how it ends you have to know how the next book begins? Does that make sense. Anyway I will buy book 3 and see how book 2 ended. Couldn't put the books down very fast reading books. :)
