HASH(0xa14ed770) out of 5 stars I have read this entire series, trust me Aug. 27 2012
By Allison - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I read this online before it was licensed, and I would't recommend this manga for people striving for extremely detailed and explicit sex scenes. I enjoy those, too, however this manga is more ecchi than hentai due to it's censored nature. The story pulls you in, and the ending of the series was overall... satisfying. I craved for more, but I knew that what I wanted was out of bounds for the established character personalities. I digress, Velvet Kiss is quite CENSORED. Do not go into this thinking you will find porn, but the plot is abundant.
If you wish to read what was translated go to Fakku. Google it and get a sense of the manga, but I would suggest supporting future releases by purchasing the manga if you enjoyed it. I plan to.
HASH(0xa14ed7c4) out of 5 stars Suprisingly good story Jan. 15 2016

There are not a lot of english translated H-Manga out there but the Project-H brand has been putting out some pretty good stuff. The book itself is nicely made and oversized compared to traditional manga. This manga is censored, but not with just black bars, the artist drew the H scenes in a way that you dont quite see the details of what would be censored. This manga is really more story based then hentai anyway so personally I did not find it to be a problem. The story actually keeps you interested and wanting to find out what will happen rather than just flipping to the next sex scene.

HASH(0xa14edaa0) out of 5 stars Not sure about this manga April 8 2013

A guy gets tricked into signing into a major debt of more than $80,000. The debt note is bought up by a shady corporation and then things get interesting. The deal he is presented with is... if he becomes "friends" with a certain girl, then no interest will accrue and noone will harass him for money. Since he can't even afford to make payments, he takes the deal. The mystery girl turns out to be the daughter of the corporation's owner who already knows about the deal and basically uses him as her on-call slave for both menial and sexual tasks. She calls him day and night, interupting his job and making it harder for him to make any money. The girl seems rather emotionless and doesn't really care about his or anyone else's feelings. The pacing for this manga seems rather slow, and character development isn't moving any faster than the story. I hope the 2nd volume picks up a little more.
HASH(0xa14ed998) out of 5 stars Almost didn't feel like a hentai manga. Oct. 17 2014

This was delivered to me with a weak spine, and did a terrible ugly crease on the first page down the middle. (I did not dock a star for that reason)

This hentai manga is exactly what I was looking for when I first decided to read a hentai. It has some sex scenes, but not to much. It's not just endless sex with no story; there's actually a plot to it. I am very curious to find out where it goes from there, do they fall in love? I hope they do!

I actually don't mind censorship, when it's censored properly! However the censorship on this manga is absolutely terrible, in some scenes I had to look and think a little bit more to what the character was doing because of the censorship. The manga Goddess of the Glass had appropriate splotches to indicate what was a male organ, where this one shows nothing it's like it's invisible. I wouldn't even consider this a hentai, if you've ever read Saikano, it's kind of the same thing except more sexual scenes. (Won't spoil it for you)

But overall this manga was pretty good and I enjoyed the story, I am curious to buy the second volume and find out what's this girls problem.

HASH(0xa14edb84) out of 5 stars Just another lamely written hentai May 3 2014
By residentgrigo - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
My 3/10 mangaupdates review: I don't know why i read this manga to begin with but here is my review. Just for catharsis. xxzxxx and company are right. The writing is way too weak to be taken seriously and the characters are as deep as the paper the manga is printed on. The art is perfectly fine but it doesn't save the overall quality. Why did the author try to inject poorly executed "drama" (the aunt) and corporate takeover into his story? Why don't we see the leading lady at any of the orgies? Did the writer chicken out due to fear of turning readers off. Lame. The characters come of as schizophrenic do these flip flops of mood and style and where is the ending coming from. I only read the first volume, speed read everything else to get closure but even i felt dissatisfied even if i didn't even care about the manga. 1 point deduction for such a anticlimax as she (?) was writing porn after all... Vitamin is as (relatively tame) hentai magazine. Just saying facts here and this is overall way to irritating to recommend. As a drama its a joke and as a porno it hasn't have enough onscreen sex or likable leads so who is the audience? Watch Eyes Wide Shut, Shame or a Von Trier movie or look at porn instead and don't do both at once like the manga tried. Chihiro really need a writing partner that is for sure but i am not coming back. Hentai with worthwhile writing would be Virgin Night (6/10) and Sensei o Mite Kudasai (7,5/10) so none of this can be excused even if way worse exists.
